It definitely does have at least one. In the first video walkthrough Kyle from Out of Spec made he removed the rubber like cover located below the windshield and under the top of the hood and there was a cabin filter there in the middle.

Most cabin filters are not HEPA.

True. I should have specified it was a filter but don’t know if it was HEPA. Thanks for the clarification.

I asked my guide and technical support if they had a guide for filter replacement or if we could purchase replacement filters... Nothing available yet. Seems like they might require a service call to replace it... Ugh

Does it do a good job of filtering out fumes from other vehicles? That’s one of my favorite things about the Teslas with hepa filters.

Tesla let out a very impressive video demonstrating their Bio Defense Mode HEPA filter. Check it out…

$295 just for the filter. $43 in labour to replace. Cheaper to wear an elastomeric respirator mask with p100 cartridges. ?

Yes, you pay more for HEPA than a cheap charcoal filter.
Tesla’s primary HVAC filter was shockingly cheap.

one for my ford is $60.

Not necessarily, I can get HEPA filters much larger than what's used in a car for a purifier at home for $20-30

They're also for completely different purposes, carbon is for neutralizing odors and VOCs and really wouldn't last long in a car, HEPA (or any paper/cloth filter really) is for particles, with better filters being able to take out fine dust and diesel soot.

That’s the reason the Tesla Hepa filters are huge. Not sure though how many pounds of activated charcoal in them.
