Just popped up in SoCal. Other than the powered Tonneau I'd probably seriously consider this one if I was ready to jump on it. Dark 20's look great imo.

Moved my drive up to Saturday the 10th in San Diego, so whomever gave up that slot, thanks!

Dooooooh! That is my color and interior. Just checked and it is gone. Prefer the 21AP wheels anyway for range. But dang they come and go quick.

That's very interesting. I'm in Temecula so relatively equidistant from LA or SD.

I wonder if I see the SD shop based on their criteria, and what that criteria is. Did it ask to choose a service location when I first placed the order? It's been so long I don't even remember.

My status has been PENDING_FULFILLMENT for about a month now and still no VIN or estimate. The wait is real

so was it just a matter of waiting for you? im also PENDING_FULFILLMENT and SOFT_LOCKED but no idea what that means.

So, there was a lot of waiting involved, yes. I may have helped the process along by sending a...carefully worded email to both my guide and CS that was critical yet constructive regarding their communication plan. Sure enough, less than a week later, my 8 steps opened up and I take delivery in two days. My guide said that he escalated my case for me with the magical people deep inside the factory and thus my truck appeared.
As far as the status goes, PENDING_FULFILLMENT means that you have an order that is confirmed (SOFT_LOCKED) and the build team is either trying to fit you into the production schedule or find you a VIN that matches your config. You will stay in this state until a VIN is assigned, which will change your status to READY_FOR_FULFILLMENT. You'll also have a vehicle ID assigned as well (which is NOT your VIN, FYI).
Once the 8 steps open, then the REAL wait begins... you know it's coming - s00n - but it could be another 2 days or 2 weeks; that wait is the longest by far....

I love that you called out Audi's Nardo Grey. It was my all-time favorite color on a car until...Rivian's Limestone. I'm more concerned about how it'll fade over time than the fad dying off. 5+ years later, it's still a highly desired color for Audi (up there with Porsche's Chalk Gray). I initially loved LG, but that color already feels dull to me.

I've only had my Limestone a few weeks and constantly get compliments on the color.

Real dumb question but I ordered aug 21 and my window is Oct-Nov. Do they order the shop for everyone and when ?? Also I live in Dallas …the rivian shop is in Houston …is it worth switching my delivery to houston center ?

As far as I know, it doesn't necessarily happen for everybody. Some people get invited to the shop early, others after they are assigned a guide and request it, and some get their configuration confirmed and immediately have a truck assigned.
As far as delivery I don't think it matters, they may give you an option to pick up earlier if you want to get it from the SC but that happens when they are coordinating delivery.

I saw a Limestone in person last week. It's a great color. I almost had my guide make the change.

Good thing I didn't! 8 steps opened up this evening!!! Almost completely done, the wait begins...

As for the shop, I never once saw a Launch Green truck in there. Also, the shop was empty for me over the last 3 weeks. All in all, I'm glad I held firm. Looking forward to driving the exact truck I spec'd for a long time.

Good question. I live south of San Antonio and am willing to take delivery in Austin or Houston. Can we switch delivery to a service center?
