Any R1S pre-orders hear from guides recently?

I am confused by the guy's question. Has an LE so only current option would be to switch to essentially identical adventure trim; which would cause him to miss out on free wheels if interested in those.

I think just looking for more understanding of LE trim, not necessarily interested in changing config...though perhaps it could be confusion of what trim level they have?

Why would I not configure a Launch Edition? There's an old expression: You snooze, you lose. Twenty-one months after I reserved, Rivian finally announced a configurator. I saw the announcement in an email. It went live on Tuesday, November 16. I was busy trying to finish fall work on my farm. I planned to do my configuration on Saturday. Without warning, RIvian shut down Launch Edition configurations on Friday, November 20. So my configuration is R1S Adventure Package, large pack. And I have no clue when my S will be delivered.

I preordered 6.5 months before you, also live close to South SF delivery center and have underbody shield. I also saw a non-employee delivery (or car almost ready) with my exact configuration (GW R1S 20” w/ underbody).

I just don’t know how to answer my wife’s question every several weeks, “when is our Rivian coming?”

I'm in Nor Cal not far from SSF SC. Ordered in 2018 and I had a guide in April but I'm waiting for the order confirmation and to start the buying process. I am hoping its going to be any day. Seems like some Oct-Dec are starting to get contacted and a few Aug-Sept have been left behind. Probably all related to delivery logistics...

I'm assuming a linear assumption to the R1S but that largely depends on the # of pre-order holders.

Any actuaries following this thread can get there freak on if my question initiates any level of excitement.

I don't know that is a useful comparison.

Due to delays in various configurations, some of which are still ongoing, there were a lot of R1T people still waiting on their LE when Rivian ran out of deliverable LE orders and had to start producing Adventures.

At this point, we're not aware of any specific flavor of R1S that is being delayed, so a much higher percentage of LE orders should be deliverable before Rivian needs to fall back on adventure orders.

Feb 2019 preorder still no guide or confirmation email. I feel like it's imminent but I don't have UBS so maybe not...

Good luck with that ... maybe if you switch to Adventure Package. I think I have a better chance of waiting 4 years.

Had to check on a Rivian Shop delivery anyway so I decided to inquiry about why I haven't gotten a guide or anything yet. Still no answers but I did get to express some frustration in a funny way.

I can't imagine how tired these poor customer support reps get of being on the receiving end of customer frustration. They are not empowered to solve any of the real problems so I hope everyone is being very kind when interacting with them in chat.
