They have exactly $92k of my money, and an insurance premium payment coming due for my fully-paid-for and fully-insured Rivian.
I was told today that it’s back “in transit” and that “no I cannot call anyone to find your truck, that’s not how the process works….. you just must be patient and let the process work.”
I am the most patient and kind person I know, but being talked to like I’m either 5-years old, or as if I’m calling and asking for a free meal, is kinda frustrating. I’m simply asking for someone to call someone on my behalf and give me a realistic update on my timing. There’s no way someone doesn’t know exactly what’s going on with my truck.
I’d like to cancel my insurance and I need to sell my existing car. I can do neither with ZERO information and that’s what I find frustrating.

oh they absolutely still suck. and its not just corporate, its Guides, CS and Service Centers. yes they make amazing vehicles and maybe they think that compensates for the poor comms.Earlier in 2022, there were numerous complaints in this forum about Rivian's communications ... lack of communication, poor communication, inconsistent communication, etc. Has there been any improvement?
Six days ago, CS told me that I'd receive an email with a delivery estimate by the end of this summer. Others were told end of September. Now I'm seeing that CS told someone EOW.
I don't know when to expect my delivery window email. From my perspective, Rivian still gets failing marks for communications. But maybe I'll be surprised tomorrow.

Seriously, I don't get why people think they need to complete the 8 steps the second they open up. I've been sitting at 1/8 steps complete for 2 weeks now because the only step I could fully complete without a delivery date is Step 1. I had them give me a trade-in offer that came in lower than I'd like, but I have not declined it yet and do not plan on declining it until I have a delivery date and can shop around for competing offers. I tried that already at a couple places but they expired after 7 days and weren't all that better or were worse than Rivian's offer. I have insurance quotes ready to go, but both my insurance agent and Rivian's said don't complete the policy until a delivery date is set. Rivian really should re-design the 8 steps to make it clear you don't need to complete all 7 in order to unlock the delivery date.Stop the insurance. Sell your car. Get a rental.
I’m surprised that you and others paid in full for a vehicle that did not even reach its destination. I hope it arrives soon.
Sadly, no. I have pre-March pricing..... what you're seeing is all the tax, title, and fees added on and the FINAL cost of my truck out-the-door. Be prepared.......Are you a post 3/1 pre order? Based on your cost, you’re giving me hope ?
