Tried to show my wife the Polestar 3 on my phone. Totally impossible to view the vehicle on their web page. Scroll through animated infinity before you can browse. Then here’s a closeup of the rear brake light. Here’s a close up of a tire. Here’s an extreme closeup of the fibers in our chair. Here’s a 4 icon closeup view of the UI. Here a closeup of a yellow seat belt, but only 1/2 of it.

WTF?

Really? How come?
Have you been in one yet? If not, check it out. For under $100k you get an insane amount of luxury (the leather interior is fantastic) and good tech, with excellent BMW build quality. The range is also quite good on it, real world tests have been very favorable.

The iX is ugly on the outside but it's otherwise SUPERB.

I would love to see one in person. The interior looks amazing. We may eventually replace our Model X with one. I even like how it looks on the outside (I know I may be the only one.) This Polestar looks really good to me too though. The center console does look a bit bland. Hard to tell without more real world photos.

Those holes in the front seats absolutely ruin it for me. The back of my head hits the "proud" plastic trim. What a stupid design and complete self-own.

I feel like you and I drove completely different versions. Ignoring the hideous exterior, the interior felt like a mini van. I do not understand why BMW is as popular as it is.

What reminded you of a minivan?

The sensatec is much worse than the leather, if that was the difference. I would find it difficult to buy an iX for the styling & bland driving experience w no offroad capability, but if I wanted something to tow 2 kids around?

The iX tech & quality is light-years ahead of the Rivian. The R1S/R1T have the offroading/rugged thing and much better style, so it's fine, but the iX is very impressive from a technology & luxury POV.

I've always disliked BMW but, quirky exterior on the iX aside, they are doing excellent work with their EVs

Sensatec is garbage, no doubt. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only interior that my local BMW dealer orders for lot inventory.

My issue with the IX goes far beyond the seating surfaces, however. The entire seat reminds me of a minivan. The floor is low like a car, and the seat felt like it was on stilts with a super-thick and really soft bottom cushion. I may as well have been driving a van. Not a good feeling, at all. The way the dash and center console is setup also gave me mini-van vibes. All around I didn't like it.

I can see how some would see the front styling as drop dead... if only because of the dual nearly-a-coffin grill shapes. Perhaps best around Halloween?

I think it's just that the front end being so much body color makes it weird. There's not enough contrast IMO, and the amount of grey plastic on the side of the doors doesn't fit the slimness of the vehicle. I find that random chrome trim piece in the middle of the plastic very out of place.
I've gotta say, there's not much I didn't like after thoroughly going through the Polestar 3's page. That said, the fact it's the same price as a 300 mile pre March quad motor Rivian doesn't make it as attractive.

If Polestar can pull off making it an improved, higher featured, SUV version of the 2, it's going to be a hit. My 2 is no slouch but the acceleration of the R1T is definitely way better.

I asked the live chat guy and he had no idea. Rivian is fully refundable, the U.S and the rest of the world are fully refundable. Why is Polestar Canada saying only partially refundable? Doesn't make sense.
It doesn't, but if your interested in getting the vehicle, especially considering the price point, would losing 250ish from not proceeding with the purchase really break the bank?

As I said above, the car is really compelling.
