just got off the phone with my guide-- i requested access to the r1 shop to see if maybe there's a truck with a powered tonneau. also got some clarity on "not ready" status, mainly that once i declare myself ready it's not automatic or anything, i get a new window during the refresh period and then sort of just wait to be matched based on the production schedule...

• 1/31/2022 - Placed pre-order on R1S
• 3/1/2022 - Email from Rivian with notice of price increase
• 3/1/2022 - Cancelled order
• 3/3/2022 - Email from Rivian restoring original price for pre-orders
• 3/7/2022 - Restored pre-order
• 4/2/2022 - Email from Rivian that my original price was restored
• 8/12/2022 - Deposit was processed by Rivian
• 10/5/2022 - Changed configuration to an R1T
• 10/28/2022 - Email from Rivian with delivery window estimate (Dec 22 - Jan 23)
• 10/29/2022 - Updated configuration to remove PPF and swap auto for manual tonneau
• 10/29/2022 - Noticed that my window estimate switched to “processing estimate”, emailed support (no response)
• 11/7/2022 - Email from Rivian to confirm configuration
• 11/7/2022 - Confirmed configuration
• 11/7/2022 - Email from Rivian with purchase checklist
• 11/8/2022 - Email from Rivian reminding me (again) about the digital purchase checklist
• 11/14/2022 - Forwarded my previous email (about estimate) to my guide (was assigned at unknown date) - still no response
• 11/16/2022 - Texted guide about the estimate
• 11/16/2022 - Guide responded via text, confirmed receiving my previous email. Also confirmed no change to my original estimated delivery window. Said he would check on the status / VIN.
• 11/17/2022 - Guide responded via text, confirmed that my vehicle is being built but no VIN available yet.
• 11/30/2022 - Texted guide regarding any updates. Guide replied that he doesn’t have the VIN yet, but vehicle is “nearing the end of production”.

Update! Confirmed and received guide. Looks like several people got the same.

Spoke with my guide today at length, he says even though my config is locked in, it may be a while - a couple of months even - before they identify a vehicle that matches my config and actually get it delivered to me. So, a little longer I guess. Was really hoping for the '22 tax credit, oh well. *sigh*

Update. I locked my configuration on November 9.

Got my 8 steps today (12/1) and was able to schedule delivery for Monday 12/5. A bit of a fire drill trying to get financing and insurance turned around this quickly but....We'll see!

Same here. Same order date and nothing since beginning of November. I guess it'll be a Valentine's present to myself instead of Christmas
