My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
The update started with the battery at 64%, and upon completion, battery was at 68%. So not only did I get snow mode, but more charge as well which were delivered by the electron fairy.

I am going to finally go out to the truck to explore the new update and see where the fairies put the electrons while downloading the software. Maybe they left them in a magical pouch where my tonneau cover isn’t.

<sorry - been a rough day>

Interesting. I guess that would mean they added some usable capacity to the bottom of the pack?

Hopefully some of us don't get coal instead of electrons.....
Coal is still a fuel source for power plants, to make those electrons. They aren't all from renewable sources.

Y'all got the math backwards. They took capacity away, making the current SoC look like higher % of availability.

Blah blah blah even 100% coal powered EVs put out less carbon than diesel trucks.

I definitely wasn't trying to criticize coal as a fuel source for power plants. Fuel diversity is good for the overall reliability of the grid, and I like my air conditioning.

I meant more as like coal in a stocking for Christmas instead of free electrons.

When able to be replaced with reasonably affordable alternatives. Since everyone seems terrified of clean and green nuclear power that replacing is more difficult than it needs to be.
I agree with the nuclear comment but wind and solar are already cheaper than coal. So coal should be gone.

The nuclear power industry is not affordable. The only plants under construction at the moment are 250% over budget (now $34 billion) and no plant can even get insured without the Price-Anderson Act. It’s cheaper and greener to use that giant nuclear reactor in the sky.

They are so expensive because of the extreme fear and overregulation which resulted in lack of development. The big fusion generator in the sky is great but it only shows up to work half the time.

The power source that can fail and kill tens of thousands of neighbors and poison even more is not the one that should be unregulated. Great thing about batteries is they can store extra energy while the sun is clocked in for work and use it overnight. And the wind and geothermal can work the graveyard shift to lend a hand?

You all have it wrong. See you’re looking at the next step beyond coal. I’m looking several steps ahead…poop power.

I look forward to having a battery free car and just powering it as I go. Literally and figuratively.
