Yeah, that plus the lateral wobble I see in all the reviews are a deal killer for me.Close clearance!
Misumi was better for me than 8020 years ago. The black aluminum was also much cheaper if you prefer the look - but it sounds like you've already ordered.Yeah, that plus the lateral wobble I see in all the reviews are a deal killer for me.
I've been thinking about the kayak problem for a few months and finally made a decision today to go with the ridge industries badwater rack and then construct a cab high extension out of extruded aluminum for the rear crossbar. I can use a factory crossbar on the roof for the front kayak attachment point and the extension on the rear badwater crossbar for the rear attachment point. For the badwater rack + all the required extrusion and HW components from 8020.net I'm all in for around 1300. If everything is shipped in the next week or two I should have it together before the end of the month.
Yes, ordered this afternoon...too much free time is dangerous to my wallet.Misumi was better for me than 8020 years ago. The black aluminum was also much cheaper if you prefer the look - but it sounds like you've already ordered.
Hope you can share some pictures when completed!Yes, ordered this afternoon...too much free time is dangerous to my wallet.
Please keep us posted w pics and $ outlay. I too have kayaks and the fact I can't move them or pick up lumber at Lowes is the main negative for the R1T for me. My piece of junk 2005 Grand Cherokee did it all better even tho it had no door handles. ?Yeah, that plus the lateral wobble I see in all the reviews are a deal killer for me.

I think they are working parts for their first production run now. At least that is the message I got. I think only the prototype they built was for the Optima SEMA build.Anybody have the Overland Ruff Rax installed yet? My order should be done mid month. Looking for some real world reviews.
I'm own depending on weight bearing data. Also, I noticed the the Rivian/Yakima racks, when roof mounted, don't clear the antenna (which is an issue for my use case). Anyone else have this concern?I've been waiting to hear from Yakima whether they had any plans to build this and they got back to me on Monday. Their answer was "this could potentially be our next modification for a "BedTrack Kit", but there is nothing in the works right now". They make the current crossbars for Rivian. I didn't want to compete with Yakima. I have my pricing worked out and would need to sell them for $2,950. Does that seem like a price most folks would be willing to pay?
Ugh - this is going to make loading kayaks a pita ? Hoping for some sort of bed solution Yakima or otherwise to have full rack. Ruf Rax not my cup of tea ā¦I'm own depending on weight bearing data. Love it. I really need a rack to carry random pieces of lumber or trim. Possibly a canoe. Your racks are no different than the racks I have on my Colorado which are held on by clamps and have been fine. When the truck gets here in next month or two, Iāll be interested.Once I've designed the cross arms I plan on sending the design to an independent test lab for feedback. I'm also going to reach out to Rivian to see if I can get the stress test data on those anchor points because without that data I cannot expect an accurate analysis.
Why couldnāt that antenna have been placed at the front of the roof, instead of the rear where it causes clearance issues. As I will be mounting an RTT that will overhang the roof (assuming a suitable bed rack becomes available), that antenna will be an issue. As it stands, I will have to have an extra tall rack to clear the darn antenna.I'm own depending on weight bearing data.
