The target is 25k this year but they only did 1,015 in 2021 so they are close either way.Is that 25k total (2022 + 2021) or just 2022?
Was their 25k target for 2022 only or 25k all time total?
Is there any data about this?Assuming linear production, a normal Monday or holiday sure. But if the line was cranked up say..10-15% to be able to meet it and folks have been running nonstop for weeks on end, there’s a higher chance. I’m not sure if RJ drives his folks as hard as Elon does though
Ate you really turning a joke into an e-argument? You have too much time.Is there any data about this?
All reasonable but I don’t think 60k is aggressive they are already at 50k and a third shift is coming (why when they are at only 20-30% of capacity and shift two improves).I would be surprised if they are that aggressive with their target. One of the guides during a delivery said they were doing 200 a day, that is a clip of 52k a year with no improvement. If they target 60k for the year that is an average of 230 a day, still somewhat aggressive but they still need to keep feeding the lines. We are not sure how the supply chains are really shaping up but based on 4th qtr it seems to be improving.
60k at an ASP OF 80k gets them about 1.2 billion in sales per qtr 4.8 for the year and would put them in good shape going into 2024.
The 2022 earnings call will be interesting.

We will see, it is a target, they can always revise it in subsequent qtrs. All reasonable but I don’t think 60k is aggressive they are already at 50k and a third shift is coming (why when they are at only 20-30% of capacity and shift two improves).
The real pricing lift is in 2024 when they should have finished essentially all R1T and S pre March 2022 pricing orders. That means prioritizing S in 2023 since they are 15k behind and still doing LE models. I agree the Q4 call in February will be interesting and the target for 2023 will be asked (and 10% of the year will already be done by then).
Haha. Sorry didn’t realize it was a joke. Drinking too much bourbon. Happy new year!Is there any data about this?
I agree they can revise up over the year. It does seem like supply chain challenges have started to ease and they will have real data to base a target on in the quarterly call. They obviously have a target now for the delivery estimates they are giving people. We will see, it is a target, they can always revise it in subsequent qtrs.
The challenge here is still the supply chain is still a wild card currently. If it proves to be steady and reliable during the year that would be great but they do still have things coming from China where there are currently concerns on CoVid after they lifted the zero CoVid ban. I’d love to see them north of 75k, just not sure coming out of the gate at that number would be good.
It is always better to revise the estimates up during the year than to have to cut them.
Hi, I run @Rivianupdates.I hope this is true. However, I’m not understanding this Rivian Updates Twitter handle. Who runs it and how do they have inside information?
How do we know this isn’t just a New Year’s Eve celebration?
I’ll be waiting for an official announcement.
It became public after the market closed so I don’t see the harm since Rivian will let the world know next week.Hi, I run @Rivianupdates.
This isn't "insider" information (maybe it actually is lol), if you look at the picture I provided you can see an El Cap R1T as well as 5 and K balloons, assuming there is also a 2 ballon, that makes 25K. This information is inconsequential to the fact that an employee provided this, and multiple employees have admitted this has happened.
The issue lays where technically this information should be confidential and I assume Rivian was waiting to tell this news to wait for Jan. 2 during market open to see a boost in stock price.
Is there something weird about my Twitter handle? Why does it matter who runs it anyway lol. Thanks.
Hello, Isaiah. Congratulations on your 2nd post in the 16 months since you joined our group. I follow you on Twitter, lol.Hi, I run @Rivianupdates.
