Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

dialing up a new version right now....little easier on the eyes (dont worry about the star, its just a marker)

Looking for a "not busy" sleek or solid (e.g., embossed diamond) plate design. As other members had said, a solid option and/or a simple laser cutout pattern that compliments the sleek lines of the truck. Thank you.

Free design idea (from a PM, so salt like the ocean...): Maybe make the tread pattern cutout an oval to match the proportions of the R1T headlights?

This oval motif is used in a bunch of other places throughout the truck (the "pill" indicators in the HVAC interface, recessed handles on the doors, the trim inside the wood dash inlay, the silhouette of the carabiner key, etc.).

A subtle oval pattern would be less busy than a logo motif like the current "star" pattern, and should complement similar shapes and curve radii throughout the vehicle.

That would be a near ripoff of the “Megawatt” @electruck4x4 slider plate pattern being developed and discussed in the “other” thread. Let’s not do that.

I’m still in the embossed plate or simple/not busy laser cut pattern camp. I’m concerned these would catch the wind and perhaps generate some noise.

Yes, though I haven't paid yet. I want to move forward but I'm very curious about the board pattern (or lack thereof).

I like this much better.... not so busy and 'star like'.... should also help with dirt NOT getting on top.
Still waiting for the rock slider version as I would love to be able to get tires rotated not using the pucks.... plus the additional protection going a bit 'too low'.

This might be a crazy request, but if the laser cutouts are easy to change per order, would it be reasonable to get a template and provide a custom design? Maybe for a small up charge?

Not necessarily for this version for my R1T, but my wife loves ginkgo trees, and I would love to surprise her with custom running boards when we get our R1S next year.

I think this one is pretty slick. Also, I gotta say, its such a treat reading this thread (I preordered a set a few days ago as well). Seeing how you are happy to work with the folks here (some of which aren't super... diplomatic), and take a lot of their concerns into account! None of the designs have been a deal breaker for me, but the star of david comments have given me a good laugh. I definitely like that you have lengthened the steps!

FWIW, my 5 year old daughter is really excited to be able to climb into her dad's new truck more easily, so your hard work will be much appreciated!
