I don’t see myself buying it as they want insane mark up but I’m gonna go test drive it anyway since I missed out on the ride along at the open house. ??
Hopefully will keep me content until my number comes up.

It won't keep you content. You'll want it more. A local western PA Toyota dealership has had 2(!) in stock over the past 2 or so months. I test drove the first one and missed out on it by 4 hours to another deposit. I wanted it so bad I bought a R1T with VIN 92XX off eBay. It's honestly the greatest vehicle I have ever owned. Good luck!

I drove one Nov 2021 and wish I hadn’t, now that the configuration i wouldve had is 86’d and Rivian has no plans to deliver here on any sort of timeframe. It’s real good.

Is there any chance you buy it? If not, I would cancel the drive. The owner is allowing prospective buyer to drive it at some risk to himself and putting miles in the vehicle. Not totally honest to test drive with zero internet to buy. JMHO

there’s a small chance. If they are willing to move on their price. If it was a private “sale” I would agree with you but being that it’s at a dealership I see it differently.
As far as putting miles on their vehicle some one has been since they got it. Their original ad said 7k kms. Their latest ad now says 10k. So I assume some one is using it as their vehicle while they have it. 3k in roughly 1.5 to 2 months.

Well after all that I didn’t get to drive it lol.

they said no driving it until either a non refundable $5000 deposit is paid or the truck is bought.

I told them they’re sleazy in asking for a non refundable deposit. All they would need to do is low ball a trade credit or not agree to an offer and the “customer “ is out 5 grand.

maybe not driving it’s a good thing as some of you have said it made you like it even more. Lol

Was also an import from Vegas and I seem to remember reading that rivian won’t honor the warranty on the imported ones.

but mostly the turn off was all the blatant lies they came up with to justify the price the asked. Such as the power tonneau being a 15k option, only 2 rivians in Canada, comes with aa & car play, 900 kms to a full charge, only way to open gear tunnel is thru the infotainment unit. I asked if there was anyone there who actually knew anything about the truck. Lol. The look on his face when I used the bed rail button to open the tunnel was priceless. ?

I understand some of these like the gear tunnel weren’t out right lies more maybe that’s the only way he knew how but some were pretty blatant.

I’m taking great joy in having a vehicle that didn’t put a penny into a car dealership’s pocket. The direct sales with service center model is the best for consumers, IMO.
