That one just showed up today, so I jumped on it.
I applied for membership at Parsons, yesterday, so I guess I'll have to wait for them to approve my membership, before I can get very far in the steps.
Awesome! Glad to see it go to another member lol... and so I won't be tempted.

1/12/22 order. I haven't been granted access to the Shop yet. Question: When you are looking in the Shop, does the listing confirm whether or not the truck in compatible with the manual tonneau cover? I understand that all the non-power equipped trucks currently should be compatible but they had announced that they were removing the rails sometime this year to prep for the redesign. Thanks

All shop cars are compatible with manual tonneau cover. They are not configured with that accessory added though, that would be purchased "sometime in 2023" from the shop.

Yes, but you have to click on it to see the details. It is my understanding that all trucks currently have the rails for the tonneau, but clicking on the individual truck in the Store will show you that information.
My guide told me, "At the moment, we are building R1Ts that still have the rails. In the near future, we will switch to producing vehicles without bedrails. When that time comes, an order that does not have the manual or powered tonneau added will not have bedrails."

Thanks. Having this truck (closely matching my specification) show up in the Store, was a Godsend. I really have to have a truck with either a bed cap or a tonneau cover. Since it will be my service vehicle, I must have a way to keep my tools and supplies secure. Since Rivian cancelled my PTC order, and there is still no third party source for a tonneau or cap, I have been unsure as to what I would do.

Accordingly, the manual cover will be available sometime 1st few months of 2023.

Rivian time. With no prototype or demos, wouldn't be surprised if Summer or Fall (hopefully I'm wrong).

Rivian's manual tonneau is an awkward kluge, IMO. It would be okay, as an interim solution...
But I think it costs $1800, now. Maybe if it was available now, and only cost a couple hundred.

Timeline could still be tracking! Just because we don’t see the prototype or how it works doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist and isn’t being tested. I like to stay as positive as possible with Rivian ?

Just got shop access! In my intro email to my guide yesterday I asked for access and her reply was sure, you'll get access within the next 24-48 hours.

And they are listed as compatible in th R1 Shop as well.

I reserved on Jan 4, 2022 and have an Apr - Jun ‘23 delivery date (after all the voluntary/involuntary configure changes.) I was asked to confirm my configuration on Wed, assigned a guide on Thursday, and invited to the Shop on Friday. Out of the twelve R1Ts available, one is close. But after waiting this long, a few more weeks to get what i want is probably the way I’ll go.

Question: are the R1Ts in the Shop still all 2022 VINS? If so, probably another reason to wait.

There are 2023 models as well. Mine from 2 weeks ago is 2023 model.
