The Rivian Charging map on the website has a level 2 charger in outer banks of North Carolina at:

701 W Ocean Acres Dr, Kill Devil Hills, NC

But the Rivian app never shows this location. What gives?
Interesting. It looks like that's a site for The Nature Conservancy. I wonder if they've filtered it out of the app because it's really intended for TNC to charge their "company" vehicles.

I would note that the reverse is also true in some cases. For example there is a L2 station at Stubb Stewart state park in Oregon that shows up in the app and the truck but not on the website map.

In fact I'm not sure if any of these L2 chargers are on the website map:

Interesting. So that just suggests they're potentially operating off of 2 different datasets. That seems like a bad idea from a data management perspective! Why update 2 (+) lists when you can update just 1?

Grand Junction, CO. Same address as the Superchargers, not sure about GPS

Installation of commercial electric vehicle charging station in existing parking lot. Work will inclue the installation of (1) utility transformer (1) Switchgear) (6) Rivian DC fast chargers (2) Rivian level 2 chargers (8) Deterrent Bollards and (2) Removeable Bollards.
So 18 months of "construction" in Grand Junction and still no RAN? Anybody know anything?

Could just be the same dataset with flags on where the data is allowed to appear.

In case anybody was wondering why the Blue Ridge Parkway was a priority route for Rivian:

2022 NPS visit counts:

1. Blue Ridge Parkway, 15.71 million visits

2. Golden Gate National Recreation Area, 15.64 million

3. Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 12.94 million

4. Gateway National Recreation Area, 8.73 million

5. Lincoln Memorial, 7.83 million

6. George Washington Memorial Parkway, 7.4 million

7. Natchez Trace Parkway, 6.54 million

8. Gulf Islands National Seashore, 5.69 million

9. Lake Mead National Recreation Area, 5.58 million

10. Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 4.89 million

I highlighted GSMNP also because Cherokee, NC serves both GSMNP and the BRP's southern end. For anyone who doesn't know, the BRP officially starts at Mile 0 at the southern edge of Shenandoah NP and ends around Mile 469 at the SE edge of GSMNP. It's an absolutely incredible drive with some great hikes directly off it plus many thousands of great hikes within a couple miles to one side or the other. You will struggle to find a more beautiful place than many of the scenes along the BRP in the fall.

Sounds like a sticky situation
Plenty of sugar maple in the Appalachians as well. Forest diversity, elevation variance, and a long track north to south means a much longer and varied fall season in the Blue Ridge.
Also, I didn’t say it was impossible to find somewhere prettier, just that would struggle to do it.

We live in stunning country from coast to coast.

Sorry, but I've lived in both Virginia and New England. No way Virgina fall foliage competes to New England, especially Vermont. YMMV

I haven’t spent much time in western VA, mostly spent fall vacations in East TN and Western NC, so maybe you’re right. The advantage of the southern Appalachians is that the foliage peak lasts several weeks longer than in NE.

But I guess I’ll just have to spend more time driving and hiking in both to compare again. ?

Is this a new feature?

I noticed that the locations are clickable on Feb 25, so it's pretty recent. Open locations have the address with clickable link to Google Maps. "Soon" stations just say the town/area.
