i think you mean 24W.actually I have been monitoring it with a smart plug and it uses on average 24Wh while on AC.

On long trips where you just have water or drinks in there yes the 12v is better for daily use the 120v plug lets you enable the outlets when you need the cooler like mid day shopping trips where you have fresh and frozen stuff . Otherwise every time you get in the truck or it unlocks the 12v will power up and waste power.I think we've beaten to death the topic around this cooler in a 13p thread. I disagree with the video when on long road trips. Best not to use the 120v. The inverter wastes energy. Just use the 12v lighter. It's on when you're driving.
Alas frunk is no option for me as I don't have the 12v there. Apparently those are making a comeback in R1s deliveries from posts I see here.Pretty nice looking cooler, I should buy one of these. ?
