So close, but the wife wants the 22” bright wheels on the CY. and she is sticking to her original configuration. I hope I’m not voodooing myself, but I can feel this long journey coming to an end. It has been over 4 years +, and our delivery estimate is March/April 2023. So hopefully a week or 2 more. By the way, 20” wheels get 289, 21” get 321, and 22” get 303.

I have been keeping an eye on the selection and the one consistent thing I see is that when an Ocean Coast interior hits the Shop it is gone almost immediately.

I still don't understand the purpose of the shop. This is so those that don't want to wait for their pre-order to snag one? Are these vehicles from people that ordered but didn't want in the end?

I have an estimated date of July for my R1S. Am I still too far away to get shop access? It's only for people that are going to take delivery of their factory order soon?

My understanding is that part of this is batched manufacturing, too - i.e., they have a certain amount of parts and materials to build an order and just build a vehicle not tied to a particular order to use the materials and increase production numbers. With such a high vehicle demand, someone is bound to buy it in the shop. I don't think all of these are orphans.

That said, I also read somewhere on these boards recently that a Guide told someone that Rivian is no longer batching builds, so who knows?
