If this has been asked already, I apologize. For the sliders, will the treads bolt on like the running boards, or are they welded on? I think I have seen both answers so want to confirm the most recent information.

Can't imagine it'd be different since they made the swap of RB to bolt on - I would imagine the same for sliders..

They are definitely welded in the recent video, but I suppose that could change again.

Alright, here is what you (Rock Slider update seekers) all have been waiting for. A little testing teaser to share - just a little for now - we'll get to some rock slams later, but this is worth a watch.

I am very pleased with the slider design. As mentioned, we've designed, built, tested, refined, tested, refined, etc...it's a process to get perfection. Rather than rush, we focus on being the best!

It's bomb-proof! We dropped the Rivian on the outer rail and not even a flinch! Zero deflection....nada! You can drop your Rivian on any rock out there and you're good to go - safe - doors open no problem.

"Jack" your Rivian wherever you like on this Rock Slider - doesn't matter, pick a spot, any spot. Worry not about 'denting' the product!

This product is engineered by pros/experts, properly tested, properly manufactured, proven to be indestructible. The best, that simple.

Get ready Rivian gang, those who pre-ordered and are waiting patiently will not be disappointed. This is the world's finest Rock Slider for Rivian, period.

BTW, in this video, we only have half the bolts installed! It only get's stiffer!

So when?! I hear you!!!! We are machining tooling now (this is not a simple quickie). I expect we'll start shipping production in late March.

Went ahead and took the plastic panels off my truck today in preparation for the running boards arriving (maybe Sunday?). It really wasn't as bad as I feared. My truck had adhesive on the inside edge of the front and rear panels (it sounds like this was on earlier builds but absent more recent ones?). I already had a trim removal kit and the plastic pry tools were super handy getting that separated. Once I got the inside edge off I used a big ass flathead I got for this job to patiently pop each metal clip. This worked quite well and I manage to get them all off without breaking a single one. I'm still undecided if they'll go back on or stay off. At this point I'm not really seeing the need in putting them back on.

What was the key difference between the R1S and T models? I know the wheelbase is shorter on the S.

Also best recommendation/template for cutting the slots?

The S is much shorter. We have templates for both T and S!
