This is my opinion of the product...

Pro's:
- Nice box. The large chunk of metal feels like true quality. Hardware stuff feels slick. Love a sticker. Let's install this beast!

Con's:
- Even with the YouTube instructional video it is a bit of a guessing game to install without the parking sensors loosing their mind. Also the nuts fall out of the clamp very easily, and they apparently can be stripped without too much effort. Oh and washers should whistle or something when you forget to use them...

Final Verdict:
- Need a permanent front plate and don't want to drill your bumper? Buy it. Just be sure to save a few curse words for when your first location trips every sensor.

I have these same ones installed. Love it. I didn’t experience any of the pain points you did. All I did was visually line up the mount between the 2 sensors before tightening and all was good first time. Perhaps they should explicitly state that in their install instructions.

Verdict - very solid and stable. Would buy again instantly.

Either you drink really slow or it didn't take that long.

4 bolts shouldn't take long at all. Plus, it is clearly an IPA, so better for sipping. I live in WA and plan to just drive without a front plate. Unless you park in downtown areas a lot, it is a non-issue.

Are you sure you aren't confusing it with the BrainExploder license plate mount? BuiltRight specifically calls out:

• 1x Stainless Steel Hardware Kit

I removed the Snapplate and put it in the frunk.

If I get stopped by the police, a) if the car is dirty (normal state), I'll tell them the instructions clearly said to remove the mount+plate before entering the car wash and that's where I'm heading at this very moment; b.) if the car is clean (rare occasion), I'll tell them I had to remove the mount+plate before going to the car wash and I'm headed home and will put it back on as soon as I get there.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I purchased the BuiltRight plate. My kit did not include SS hardware.

We got this mount for our R1T. I was skeptical based on the quality of the item, but it has held up well and it doesn't cause any issues with the parking censors. We do have the Rivian provided plate mount attached to this product. We used stainless steel screws, which we purchased for both the front and rear plates.
