Loan rates?

My USSFCU membership was approved and just submitted loan app. Hoping for 3.74% for 60 months.

How long did it take once you submitted your membership app for it to be approved? Also, did you join via Historical Society donation or the ACC thing?

I just signed up for USSFCU on 4/7 (after submitting the donation to Historical society) and got approved 4/11, after some back and forth on them verifying my identity and setting up my initial account load. Probably could have gotten it done in one day if I stayed on top of it and called them back right away.

I haven't applied for loan yet, as it is a refinance for me, and I'm still waiting for my title work to be completed before applying.

USSFCU's rates seem too good to be true...? USSFCU is universally trashed by clients everywhere (broken system and unresponsive customer service are common themes in reviews). They also send you to a "loanspq" site that collects your social security number, passport, and other personal membership information (I haven't found any information regarding the legitimacy or safety of loanspq). Has anyone here actually used USSFCU in the past or is this everyone's first time applying there?

This is my first time. Couple comments-

1. I never provided my passport to get my approved loan.

2. their customer support has been excellent so far. Very very short hold times, and extremely fast responses to emails (not to mention 18 hour loan approval).

3. They’re definitely not some shady fly by night outfit, they literally have a branch in the Hart senate office building.
