One week old R1S and water in the trunk

I picked up my new R1S a week ago and love driving it. Now it is garage bound until Rivian fix a water leak in the trunk. We had gotten a lot of heavy rains this week, and I noticed the trunk area on one side was very wet when I loaded groceries. The D-Pillar on the same side has a big water spot. I couldn't find the source of the infiltration. The SC next appointment availability is 3 months away; I hope they can get me in earlier. Not loving the Service experience far. Regretting my purchase a bit now.

Really good point. I did the factory tour and they do run every vehicle through a water test in a giant booth to identify these things. Makes you wonder how carefully they are checking things out after the test. Also possible that your leak was small enough that it took a long time driving in the rain to create enough saturation to get to the point you noticed the wet carpet. Either way, that sucks and I'm sorry they can't get you in to fix it.

I heard from Rivian this morning and they are working on get this and the other outstanding issues resolved. Kudos for taking it seriously

After my call from Rivian support on Monday morning it has been radio silence. Never got a call back. I called today to follow up and they said they would call me back and never did.

Dc/ Richmond SC. Looks like the tickets were transferred to a capitol heights sc that wasn’t able to handle it or wasn’t open. Didn’t really follow but I’ll be driving down to Richmond next week for only the ac and water issues I am having. Rest will need to be done another time.
