Took a quick drive to test Driver+ this morning. Seems much smoother maintaining center, especially on curves. I did the same stretch I’ve used testing before. Oddly seemed to do a little better on efficiency as well instead of 2.2-2.3 was more like 2.4-2.5. I did not go far enough to really gauge that though, so I’ll see how efficiency is over time.

Would be curious if other people are seeing the same.

13 is my lucky number...but I don't want to be riding around a lot at 13.13%

Warmer weather and people will see their efficiency go up...and then complain in winter when it drops :)

Yeah, I’m in SoCal near the beach so I don not see a lot of temp variations.

Weather today is what we have been mostly seeing last month or so in mid 60s.

Rivian R1T R1S 2023.14.0 Software update released IMG_6555

Samsung USB stick works great. I’d argue this is better than Tesla’s implementation in terms of playback and overall video clarity.

Easy record with camera icon.

I do wish there was a hidden usb port somewhere out of the way…or is there?

I’m using:

SAMSUNG Type-C™ USB Flash Drive, 256GB, Transfers 4GB Files in 11 Secs w/Up to 400MB/s 3.13 Read Speeds, Compatible w/USB 3.0/2.0, Waterproof, 2022 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WB2NL8W?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_MQKQ0Y5KRADF4ADW4DRE

Hey does the update always download before you initiate it? I’m assuming so because the truck downloaded 4.6GB last night around midnight and then the update was available this morning when I went out to the truck. I started the update and the whole process took about 45 mins getting stuck at 8% for a little bit and 72% for a bit. I figured it was downloading the update during that first part and thought maybe the servers were busy. Then I checked the router app and it said the truck did the download last night. Has it always been like that?

Not giving up anything really, as the truck just generally sits in the driveway unused for 6 days or longer most weeks. I manually toggle it off when I want to use the truck, it's takes 20seconds to turn it off maybe.

Over the course of several test sessions lasting form 2-4 days in duration I'm averaging .5kWh loss per day (as measured by the Trip B odometer). A large reduction in vampire loss vs. regular mode.
I haven't used Shipping Mode yet, but have been just as concerned as vampire drain as you. Glad to see it's making a difference!

What is it like to wake up the car up when in Shipping Mode? Do you have to toggle Shipping Mode off to drive?

I'm planning to ship my current R1T to Hawaii once I get my Max Pack R1T. I plan to put into shipping mode during transportation but I'm just wondering what it will be like for the ship and dock workers while trying to wake up and move the car in Shipping Mode.

I use and look at my Trip B regularly throughout the day as I’m trying to get a handle on my shitty efficiency. It’s dumb it moved to settings.
Sofa King Dumb (say it fast)

it’s like the SW UI/UX person has never driven a car before!

Plus, now to get to Settings to adjust something THAT ABSOLUTELY IS NOT A SETTING, will make my camera icon disappear.

Between the two of us, they are literally obscuring stuff we use every day to put things in absurd places.

I am a big fan of the Camera Icon never moving off the front screen. I hate that it happens when going into settings and other things.
