Timing from R1 Shop -> Delivery?

How did you know it made it to the service center? I got the email saying ours was about to leave the factory, but do they also email me when it arrives at the SC?
My guide who I was in communication with primarily via text told me it arrived at the service center.

The delivery team texted you? I haven't gotten any kind of communication from the delivery team, just the single email saying ours was ready to leave Normal

I have not had any contact from the service center. My guide said they would contact me to schedule delivery once the vehicle passes PDI.

I found a very similar LE to the AE I had ordered on Monday, May 8th. I immediately received a VIN and was switched to "Ready for purchase". However, I'm still in the "delivery scheduling opens soon" status.

My guide informed me over text "We are waiting for it to complete its journey to the center for you. I do not get insight as to where it is on the journey, but we do typically see from the time you are matched to a VIN to the time you take ownership to typically take 4-8 weeks."

If it is truly built and en route to Chelsea, MA I hope it doesn't take 4-8 weeks for delivery!

Reached out to my guide yesterday and asked him to contact service center for status of PDI. As of today, it has been at the service center for 1 week for PDI. He said it should be finishing up by end of the week and they will call to schedule delivery when they have capacity.

Exact same situation here on my replacement R1T. It's been at the atl service center since last Thursday. The delivery button has not opened up. I wish it would....

nah. I loved my original truck. We got hit by a drunk driver a couple weeks ago and it was destroyed. I have a thread message on the crash. Can’t link to at the moment though.

Oh yeah I remember seeing the thread, so sorry about that, and glad you are safe. What insurance company did you have, and what was your experience getting a replacement? (If that’s in the other thread, let me know, I’ll just go read that).

We selected our R1T from the R1 Shop on 03/29/2023. This vehicle was a Factory Orphan. We had told our Guide that we wanted to take Factory Delivery. On 03/30/2023 we were told that our R1T was ready for pick up. We took Factory Delivery on April 26, 2023.

Mine arrived in Houston by at least 4/24, but as of 4/26 was still at the rail yard. They told me it can take a week to get from railyard to SC. (isn’t it across the street?)
When was your R1 finally ready for pick up? How long did it take Houston service center to get it ready?

My experience - I selected an R1S from the shop on 5/3. Email said it was factory gated. I reached out 5/5 to my guide to see what he thought. Guide said that it would be arriving by rail so expect 4 to 6 weeks. That sounded good to me as I had a few balls in the air...then I got a call yesterday 5/15 saying it was in Phoenix, passed PDI and was ready for pickup. I was not ready...fortunately they said OK to wait a couple weeks, and I have delivery scheduled to my house in Flagstaff for 5/30. So, I could have picked up within 2 weeks of ordering from the shop.

Going on 12 days at the Service Center doing "pre-delivery inspection". Still no contact from SC to schedule delivery. This seems longer than normal at the Service Center.

Reached out to my guide to have them contact the service center as my R1S has been there for 12 days. I finally got the service center to call me and they explained there was an interior C-pillar trim piece that was damaged and they ordered a replacement. Then the replacement piece they received was also damaged. They ordered another replacement and it should be here tomorrow and a tentative delivery on the following day. I wish they would have communicated that to me when they found an issue during PDI so I wasn’t kept in the dark.
