Could come either way, but mine definitely went by truck last month. Charger ships separately and mine arrived before the truck did (showed up around 2-3 days after confirming my vehicle in shop). I honestly haven't installed it though and believe I'm going to return it.Great because my guide thinks it’s is coming by train but isn’t sure where or on what transportation it is on. Why do they call them guides if they do t know where your vehicle is or even how long it takes to mail the charger. Did you get your charger quickly or using something else?
I have a 240v on a dedicated circuit in my garage so I've just been using the included portable charger for now which pushes 32a vs 48a on the hardwired charger. I get ~8kWh on the included portable charger plugged into the 240v outlet which is generally good for about ~14 miles of range per hour charging, which is more than enough for my daily usage.
We registered ours out of state and our utility company provides a $500 rebate for an EV chargers, so probably going to return the Rivian unit and go with a good plug-in unit (likely Juicebox or Grizzl-e) that the rebate will cover & avoid hardwire install costs. If you're on Georgia power, I believe they offer a $250 EV charger rebate & they have discount plans for EV charging so make sure you dig into all of that if interested.
