Came here to say this.
It gets quite hot actually when running AC full blast on a hot day so do not put anything in there that you want to stay cold (my ice cream did not make it 15 minutes lol)

Gear tunnel is much better for temp, but if you pack in the groceries they're hard to reach. Could use a slide out drawer that some have been hacking at.

Otherwise, I still just put things on the backseat/floor. A/C and safe.

I picked up pizza last night, and I always put it in the frunk because it’s a perfect fit. As I’m getting back into the truck, I hear someone in the outdoor bar area say to his friends “Hey, that guy’s f—ing crazy, he just put his pizza on the engine!”. I was smiling the whole way home.
I had a very similar experience in July of last year. A woman sitting on her porch watched me put a pizza in the frunk and shouted out to me, "What are you doing?! Trying to keep pizza warm?!" I explained that the truck was electric and that this was the trunk. The next thing I know, I am giving her and her husband a demo and overview of the truck. :)

I've got the R1S so trunk is definitely an option I've just gotten so used to using the frunk for everything.

Maybe a big cooler in the frunk for cold items but then getting everything to fit etc is a pain

I've definitely had a few people as if I need help when they see me pop the frunk, and more doing a double take and straining to look inside when they see you put a bag in there.

Never. I put all my takeout in the frunk. It is awesome and keeps the cabin smelling great.
If you're getting takeout that you don't want to smell in the cabin - you're getting the wrong takeout. :-D

I love the automatic frunk. It was my go to storage spot and extremely convenient when unloading groceries as it was just that much closer to the entryway into my house from the garage.

I often hear that there's data which shows people don't use frunks. Well, when your frunk is cheap feeling and has to be closed a certain gentle way, has to be opened from the app or inside the car and is overall pretty small, why would you use it?

Automatic frunks ftw.
Yeah whoever did that data doesn't have a Rivian or a Lightning. I use my frunk almost exclusively for putting in stuff from shopping trips. Clothes, computer stuff, groceries and most luggage for traveling goes in there. The bed is for dirty stuff and stuff too big to fit, it doesn't get used often.

I've had this happen a few times. I always respond with "It's to keep my pizza hot on the way home". Not sure if they ever figured it out.... I do live in a redneck area....
