just got my R1T back from the SC, they said its fixed. same issue as most. steering wheel needed to be a few degrees turned to the left in order to have the truck track straight. same issue remains, its not fixed.
Did they mention anything about recall RCA-10-23-002-1 ?

BTW, what production date your R1T is? My VIN is 22XXXX and I picked it up in May. I will need to check the production date, but I think it is April

Mine is March build. Have to be at 11 o clock to drive straight. Goes into service July 10th.

I noticed the steering wheel on our demo drive R1S also had the same issue. Off to the left/counterclockwise by a few degrees in order for the car to drive straight. I just attributed it to the fact that the demo cars must've taken a beating.

Oddly enough, my in-law's new RX350h also has an ever-so-slight counterclockwise rotation as well. Less than 800 miles on it. Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive or just happened to experience two vehicles with identical problems in the same week.

I have this exact same problem. I brought it in a week after first picking up my R1T and thought it was a simple wheel alignment issue. They claimed it was only a little bit off and assured me it was fixed. 5000km later and it's still present. I'm consistently holding the wheel about 10 degrees to the left. It feels like a combination of alignment now as well as the steering wheel just not staying straight. I've got an appointment for July 6th, we'll see what they say. I'm going to make sure they put the wheel straight before doing any alignment, and request a printout of the adjustments.

Please report back after your service appointment! Good luck!!

I just took delivery of the truck this weekend and it was like that when I drove it off Rivian's lot. They put it on the rack at the service center twice, but it's still the same. Truck sits level and tire pressures are all the same. The lead service tech tried to tell me it was because of road crown and my A/T tires, but that's BS. Even on perfectly flat roads the steering wheel is out of position. Just curious of this was an issue for anyone else.
Same thing here... glad to say it's the only real irk I have with the R1T thus-far. If my FJ cruiser and 11k lb MB RV are perfectly straight on the same roads...

Good news is our new R1S does not have this issue. Rivian was really good and our 7/19 appt is not in Gaithersburg, MD instead of Richmond, VA. The R1S also rides very smooth as well. I noticed they appear to be match mounting the tires and could even be doing road force balancing.

Sorry - what is "road force balancing." ?

So just to confirm - you had a steering wheel misalignment problem and they fixed it?

Good news: I took delivery of my R1S yesterday!

Bad news: I have this same issue, a few degrees to the left in my case. Didn’t notice until I was through the stop-and-go near the service center and several miles away.

Worse news: first SC appointment I could get is September 27th.

Road force balancing is a more advanced balancing for the wheel and tire. It applies road force and measures the NVH in the assembly and provides a readout. The elite machines will tell you how to line up high spots on the wheel and tire (match mounting). It will tell you if the tires or wheel are out of round or wearing unevenly. It's expensive....past elite rf balance I had done was $180 but it's well worth it. Excessive vibration can cause you to feel unwell and fatigued.

No I made an appt shortly after I got my R1T in May. Appointment were only two months out then. Hopefully they can fix it on the first try.
