Got these off Amazon. They slide into the t slot on the cross bars.

I agree. it helps to place multiple in a ‘X’ patternI just picked up a new pair of skis - Nordica Enforcer 94, 186 length. These just barely fit in the bed on the diagonal. I test fit them before buying
This is about the longest you can fit in the bed with the two skis together without proping up one end. Maybe you can fit bit more if you have skis without tip rocker or short tips.
Thanks, but back ordered until October.
So what did you find out?My nordic skate skis are 192cm. I am seriously considering contacting an R1T owner here in Bend (the one selling on Craigslist) and ask him if I can test fit them in the bed of his truck. Hopefully, they'll fit using the diagonal and vertical axes).
He stopped my house and I was able to fit them in diagonally flat. Threw them in the bed of the truck this past season without any problems. So what did you find out?
Do you retain the functionality with this setup to easily remove the Fatcats (and say mount something else like a box or RTT)? Or is it a bit of work to swap the fatcats out for something else? I’m wondering about the mounts I am sure the Fatcats themselves aren’t much effort.I used these to mount my Yakima Fatcats https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074TGBMLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I personally don't think unbolting the Fatcats would that inconvenient. Only if you were switching on a regular basis. For me it would be a twice a year event if I had a RTT..
