latest VIN for R1S

Guide told me on 17th that it's on a truck coming to Seattle

Maybe with some luck my Limestone is on the same truck as yours. Mine is VIN1306x... so a little later to roll out of the factory. Not sure if it would have been ready to roll when your was.

I wonder if there was some build-quality advantage with my 2022 <2,500 VIN R1S. My AC is quiet; gaps are acceptable; alignment still perfect after >4,000 miles.

My hood was replaced after a collision and the "new" OEM hood does have some slight "Ripple" (movement not Fred Sanford's favorite wine) where my original hood had none. I wonder if my original hood was "better" in this regard than the replacement (with the replacement presumably being the same as what is being installed on current builds).

Were earlier builds more "bespoke?"

I’m happy with my 1663 build as well. I’ve only seen my hood flex doing 85 into a 30 mile an hour headwind coming out of the desert. Normal freeway driving I see no movement.

I will say AC is quite but when temps get up over 95 degrees the fans do. Work overtime and can be noisy. I have the same thing in my Tesla Model S and the Jeep GC fan was loud as well when temps were over 95, I never gave It a second thought when I heard it.

My guide just let me know that my R1S is indeed on its way and last pinged from Monday. So very likely our Limestones are together on the same truck headed to the Bellevue SC.

Perfect. My guide has not been greatly responsive. I'm assuming it should have arrived at Bellevue SC by now and should be going through final inspection this week and take our delivery next week.

Typically the Bellevue SC will call as soon as it arrives, so It may not be there yet... if it rolled out of Illinois on Fri or Sat it can take 3-4 days (or more!) in transit. Truckers have strict rest rules and can only drive so many hours in a day, so often trips take a lot longer than you would expect, especially if they are required to sit at a truck stop for a full rest day

My wifes R1S has just come off the line.......VIN 13,5XX

GW,BM, 21's will be here in 4-6 weeks. She has decided upon Radiant Red Magnetic Jack Pucks and abandoned my idea of Rivian Yellow

1306x delivered! Overall things look good. One very small paint flaw near the rear light lens (more of a tiny metal speck that was painted over. Panels look decent compared to what others have experienced.

Just got matched to an R1S in the R1 shop that matches my original config exactly 134xx, I'm assuming that R1 shop units are already built and hopefully can ship soon to So Cal!! Working on the 8 steps! Now need to start collecting accessories (jack pucks, mats, etc!!)

Just got matched today in the R1S shop. Mine is 887X. It is a El Cap, 22in Bright, OceanCoast. I am picking it up Tuesday. So I guess they have it sitting in the Atlanta SC.

I think they show up in the shop as they immediately complete the production line BUT it is before they have been released and are "ready". Meaning it is before they have passed all quality control checks, etc. So, sometimes a VIN is selected, QC checks go okay, and it is on its way to shipping in 24 hours. Sometimes they don't pass QC and can sit around the factory for weeks before they are shipped.

Congratulations! When I took delivery of the R1T it was 16 months ago, it was so surreal. Facing that again with the R1S in the next 4-6 weeks. Like you a 13,XXX VIN. I already have jack pucks , and need to start assembling all the other bits for it. My wife is so happy and I'm glad for her!
