I've seen spirited driving in the parking lot at Normal, assume they drive pretty aggressively to shake things out?
Picked mine up this past Wednesday (Aug 2). Nabbed it from the shop on 7/6, door jamb shows a build date of 06/23 for VIN 149##. Haven't noticed any interior or drivability issues. Just some panel alignment issues but most frustrating is a small paint chip on the front fascia panel which is holding up my PPF plans.
For anyone picking up their R1S soon, these were the problems I saw on mine if you want to get a sense of what to look out for on a recent build. No big deal breaker issues, more like very minor annoyances. Filed a service ticket the evening I picked it up and got a 10/6 appointment date, expected given that the issues are cosmetic. Might work it out with my PPF guy to still cover up the bad panel and remove it right before the appointment date.
