That is totally against their normal rollouts. They always start with top of the line fully loaded configurations.

I will be very surprised if the first ones out are not over 110k.

They will probably have some lower priced specs announced but you will not see them until 2025 if ever.
True, but they're apparently shooting for 375k CT per year, and that won't happen with a truck priced above $90k, let alone $110k. They can barely sell 100k S and X worldwide at current prices. Furthermore, they seem to be ramping up production of 4680 batteries slowly. So, my guess is that they will come out of the gates with a dual motor 350 miles truck at $70k or less. Shorter range = less batteries = more trucks. Could be wrong though.

My guess is that Tesla will be very aggressive with pricing and undercut everyone. They clearly want to drive big volumes and that won't happen if truck costs $90k+.
Honestly this is my reasoning behind keeping my reservation. If it's priced with everyone else I don't think it has a chance beyond the fanboy stage, and I think Tesla knows this. If it represents a better value, some will be more inclined to look past the polarizing design.

Wow. They sure are beautiful all covered up!

If I felt as strongly as you do about the CT's mass appeal, I would design a custom fit (somewhere between a queen/king) air mattress for the dash and watch it print money. ?
Here is the reality with the huge dash you say is wasted space, in a traditional pickup the bulk of that so called wasted space would be outside the truck where that mass of air would collide with the more angled windshield causing significant drag, were you planning on gluing items on your hood to as not waste that space? Many uses for that space, putting building blue prints there comes to mind.

No offense but have you ever read a blueprint before? Trying to put that on the dashboard with the windshield interfering with looking directly at it is going to make it next to impossible to decipher what you're looking at. Trying to trace out a line looking at them from the side because of the windshield hits your head would be an exercise in futility.

Ironically though a traditional truck hood IS a decent place to lay a full size set of plans. Since you can place your head directly over what you're looking at you can actually see what you're doing.

Where is the evidence they will sell 375k cybertrucks each year? The entirely mythical reservation numbers that Musk has been touting for the last few years?

If they can only sell that many S and X models there is zero reason to believe they will sell even that many of these hideous trucks.

Nobodyknows how many they will actually sell. Point is that if they have a goal to sell a ton of them, they will have to be aggressive on price. Simple as that. Seems that this triggered you... Why is that?

I am not saying you would read the blueprints on the dash but you would place items like that to transport them from the office/home to building site and yes I have built 7 houses.

If anyone was “triggered “ it apparently was you in response to my simple question about what evidence there is that 375k cyber trucks can or will be sold by Tesla.

If you have no evidence you could just say so instead of projecting your insecurities onto me :giggle:

Maybe they’ll honor preorder pricing like Rivian did. Imagine the outcry if they didn’t.

You don't roll your prints up and rubber band them closed when you're not using them?

Yes but my plans are not that many pages typically and I have no idea if they would fit in that space but it certainly is a greater possibility than strapping them to the hood of a traditional pickup, my wife posts garage sale sign often, you could put the signs on the dash, come on now use your imagination, there will be many situations when that space could be utilized, picking up 6 poster boards from the art store, placing a boxed pizza there, a 2 x 3' wrapped piece of plexiglass or screen from the hardware store, vs strapping these items to the hood.

Even Musk in May admitted the rollout would be slow, they may be target 375k a year but less than 2k this year will be nowhere near that number in 2024.

Aww… So cute. I’ll just accept that additional deflection as an admission there is zero evidence 375k cybertrucks will be built each year. You keep up the good work and tell Elon I said hello :like:
