Was out for an evening stroll in Palo Alto and lo and behold, a CT pulls up at the cross roads (in F-150 wrap). It wasn't as big as I thought it would be but it definitely turned a few heads.

Omg! That is the butt ugliest vehicle I've ever seen. It replaces whatever was the ugliest before this. Holy cow! I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beerholder.

lol, it was a good attempt (if you can call it good) is so not a CT, when did ELON put door handles on, and why would there be a front grille?
some a%#hat did a chop of a ranger or F-150 to make it look like a CT.
fun experiment, but why customize to makes something so damn ugly. tail lights look like it may be an F150

Not fully understanding the wrap decision? Who thought that was a good idea and what really is the use here? To not turn as many heads?

I have a R1T and have a reservation on the cybertruck #780,000 so would be years before getting it. I as do millions of other folks just do not agree with the ugly notion, I see it as an aerodynamic work of art. Many feel the rivian headlight are ugly too, I don't. People are just uncomfortable with too much change too rapidly. On this forum when I see folks bashing the cybertruck it is almost seems as if they are fearful that the cybertruck specs may be so incredible that they think it as ugly to justify going with another brand. I personally would welcome a truck that is not so delicate that I have to overthink where I park (my rivian) as to prevent door dings etc.. it might be a welcome change to be incased in rocketship grade stainless steel. To each there own.

The type of people buying the cyber truck I bet pop their collars, wear neon-rimmed sunglasses, call each other "bro" have blonde highlights, and have "Miami Vice" soundtrack blaring.

I find it rather ugly......maybe in a few years it will grow on me. When the TESLA's came out I thought they were cool looking and I wanted one. Now, everyone and their brother has one and they look boring.

I am none of those things, but have a reservation and still seriously thinking of buying it. My primary reason is supercharger network (er...was for the supercharging network - which won't matter as much anymore), and HOPEFULLY not having to worry about door dings/scratches. If I can have a truck that gets great performance, great range, and I can use it for outdoors without worry about small scratches, that's a great truck. Would I prefer that it looked better? yes, but those other factors are quite important that I think I'm ok with the odd look.

I don't think any of us are fearful of the specs, we just don't want to show up at events driving it. This isn't MAD MAX and we aren't living on Fury Road. Maybe the specs we are afraid of are that it gets CarPlay and Android Auto before we do.

It sounds like PPF is what you're looking for, not a CT. Or you can just choose to live with the inevitable dings and scratches. It is just a truck after all!

I have PPF, but I have one panel already that has a slight tear from someone hitting the truck with their door. it's nice that the PPF protected the paint, but now I have to eventually replace that sheet. I just rather not have to deal with that (let along having to spend all this extra money to try to protect the paint).

I think people are over-estimating the durability of stainless steel. It will dent and scratch and those blemishes will be very hard to correct.

Shocked by all the negativity here. Wrap shows perception v reality. Not that much different in form factor from Std pickup, but obviously completely different in every way. More CTs or R1Ts sold by YE 2025?
Shocked? Really? Look at it. And are you not aware of all the negativity Musk has earned himself? In all seriousness, the Ford wrap is likely in part a geeky joke (to be expected from him) and in part a shot across the bow of the best selling pickup truck in America.
