How’s everyone doing? Who’s driving? My 21’s hydroplaned a few times in some heavy rain on the 210.

Lock her up! Lock her up!! LOL! But in all seriousness, I haven't ventured out, and don't think I need to today. But I did, in preparation, set charge limit to 80% on Friday (vehicle actually only charged to 79%) and thanks to vampire drain, I'm sitting at 74% after 48 hours!

Is it a hurricane or a tropical storm, at this point?

Rain has been pretty light in Ventura. We must be getting only the edge of it.
No complaints on 20" ATs on a brief trip out or other times in more rain/snow.

Pic taken yesterday evening. Calm before the storm. Today is fine and waiting to see my pool overflow.

ventured out a few hours ago in San Diego. Moderate rain - nothing crazy , but we needed coffee and I wanted to try her out in some rain ?

AT20 felt super solid. Driver+ worked well.. until it didn’t. I got a “blurred camera warning” once while on driver+ , which disengaged everything including cruise , and once while driving normal. Interesting data point.

Good news is that there won’t be any deaths as a result of the storm, just a bunch of suicides.

How’s everyone doing? Who’s driving? My 21’s hydroplaned a few times in some heavy rain on the 210.
I high tailed it outta there, a bit of slippage in -- forgive me -- a Model X (R1 on order).
This is for several reasons:
1) LA has highways that literally drain onto ... your highway. 3 times in fact, right onto the I5. What's up with that? That's not how drainage design works, folks.
2) This was early morning, driver beware when it FIRST rains, not when the roads have been washed free of oil.
3) Performance EVs don't seem to adjust their acceleration at all due to weather. X certainly doesn't. Does Rivian? Way too much torque.
4) Performance drivers don't seem to adjust their speed at all due to weather. Do Rivian drivers? (wink wink)
5) My tires are kinda due for replacement -- what's your mileage?
