The jack point covers are taken off by pushing in the portion furthest away from the outside. So if pointing towards the front is 12 o’ clock, on the driver side you push in at 3 o’clock. On the passenger side you push in at 9 o’clock.
To put back in you seat the same side first making sure the tabs are lined up.

I am new to the forum and to the Rivian. I could not find the owners guide any help on four wheel rotation. How is it done? Front to rear?
Universal 4-wheel drive rotation would apply here. Fronts go to opposite rear, rear slides forward.

Thanks! Will give that a shot

I'm no expert but I dont believe you can do this for directional tires. My tire place (first rotation) did front to back and back to front (same side). Didnt look if the OEM 20's are directional.

Good point! I have not actually looked to see if the stock 20's are directional. With the "easter egg" RSJ tread I would think it is not directional, but just a guess.

I just checked and I dont see anything about them being directional on the tire. My Model S has directional tires and its always front to back. I'll ask the tire shop what they think. They only do tires and a lot of them and whatever they say is what i'd go with.

Nothing in the owners manual on the proper strategy.

I meant to get it done at 5,000 miles but trips etc got in the way. After a couple road trips past 5K, I. had the tires (20" ATs) rotated (no spare so 4 tire version) just shy of 7K miles. Wear looked minimal and fine.
@the_mace How much tread left after 7K? On track to get 20-25K?

I had Rivian mobile service do this at home for $63, well worth it.

I rotate myself, as I just enjoy it. I can do it in 25 minutes with our jack pucks and a couple of floor jacks, coupled with two jack stands. It's therapy for me.

I'm a bit dense, but can you help me understand where you place the jack stands to support? Surely, you can't use them as pictured with the pucks on top since you need to use that as the jacking point? My jack stands are not flat on top like yours and I can't figure out a good place for them to take the weight unless I remove the plastic panels underneath.

Yeah, I'm getting mine rotated for the first time when my truck goes in for a panel alignment and picking up the spare. I know I could save money going elsewhere but I'd rather get this done in house (then I feel I have recourse if required!!).

I use the 25" lift floor jacks on the drivers front and the passenger rear and the two flat top jack stands on the other two positions with our pucks. The two floor jacks lift the entire vehicle off the ground.

I’m with ya regarding your question-I use my Jackpucks and a 3 Ton Daytona Harbor Freight floor jack, all terrain at max height and do one tire at a time( 5 tire rotation). I have bottle jacks but they are less than stable at the Rivian suggested tire change height stated above. Running 20’s.
