Just curious if you put a 12 V refrigerator in the Frank is there enough ventilation for it to operate efficiently?
I coincidentally ran a 12v to my frunk today. So far, it seems that the fridge has been much slower to cool. I can’t check on it now to see how cold it’s gotten, but I plan to in about an hour or two. I’ll provide an update when I do.

Did you tap into the battery for the 12v?

Update on the efficiency in the frunk. I have the BougeRV 21 qt. It usually cools quickly and to whatever temperature setting I select. However, after running it for hours today, set to 32, it never got there. The best it did was 39 degrees. And the frunk seemed hotter than it otherwise would have been. Kind of sucks to get such mediocre results after going through with this.

I think I’ll wire my own too. Right now I just want to make sure it fits in there. A little annoying that it doesn’t have it anymore
Did you get around to wiring the 12v in the frunk? If so, how is the fridge handling the ventilation and getting to the desired temp?

No, haven’t gotten to that. I don’t have a trip planned where I may need that atm.

I wonder if anyone has figured out a good way to vent the tub.

I would love to know the answer to this as well.

I tested my fridge again today after realizing the four water bottles that were in there yesterday could have played a role in keeping it from cooling quickly. Additionally, today was not as hot as it has been in my area, so I figured I would give the experiment another shot. My results were drastically different. The fridge cooled from 81 to about 37 within 30 minutes. I had it set to 30, which it eventually reached. I also noticed that, when opening the frunk lid for only a minute or two, the temperature plummets. I knew it would over an extended period, but the results are almost instantaneous.

Just want to make sure that this model (36L Bodega) fits in R1S frunk when closed. Thank you.
Sorry, I have the R1T. I can’t speak to wether it fits in the R1S. If it’s the same dimensions, then you’re good.

This is one of those times when you figure out that cooling is removal of heat. Therefore keeping the frunk closed does simply makes the surrounding air hotter as the cooling coils attempt to exchange heat.
Some kind of vent would be crucial to proper functioning of 12V fridge.

Hi there! So, regarding that Bodega auto freezer, I've heard different opinions. Some people think it's quite nice, but there's a typical problem: Apparently, the cooling might not be as good if your car battery isn't kept in check or if it's extremely hot outside. is it true? just asking. I'm also looking for a commercial freezer, by the way. Online, I found some cool options, and my sister is absolutely on board. Still considering my options, though. anyone else used this product or similar ones?

I have the 38 qt / 36 liter Bodega and can confirm it fits as well.

I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded to the big boiii 38 quart fridge/freezer combo! I'm so glad I did it. I was concerned about the fit, but even pushed to the right and on top of my water tank and mat it fits fine.

There's a new link for the same product, and it's down to $180 now.
