We were just "granted" access to the shop. We are ultimately waiting on a dual motor, but knowing that might not quite be this year, we're OK with looking at some others. Most in the shop had way more add ons than we needed/wanted, but then 2 launch models just popped up for about the same price as our current configuration. Not sure all the details with the Launch vs. Adventure, but I know they're no longer making the Launch. Is this a "new build"? An older model? What does Launch have that Adventure does not (or vice versa). Hmmmmmmm

Launch included a "free" wheel upgrade. Otherwise the same.

I have theory for why there are still launch editions available in the shop. I think they ordered too much launch green paint. It is only available on launch editions, hence launch editions being available in the shop as they use it up. Any non-launch green vehicles are likely abandoned by the ordering customer. Are most launch editions in the current shop launch green?

I think the same reason is why there are so many forest edge interiors in the shop as well. Also, the forest edge interior likely has super high margins.

Good to know. The few I looked at were not green and were actually a whole variety of colors (Limestone, LA Silver, etc).

Interesting. The last screen shots of the shop I had seen had a ton of launch green.

I would jump on a LE R1 if it’s the configuration you want. Comes with free wheel upgrades, launch edition badging, wrist band key, and a few free colors. Also ended up getting the OC interior included on my LE.

If one comes in with 21" wheels, we will - so far they're all 20 or 22" and for our use, range is most important vs. off roading or other use. I know those are "free" upgrades with launch, which would be great if we wanted that, but like I said, we want the longest range possible (ideally waiting on dual motor, but that may be awhile!)

If you want best range possible and can't find the 21" . Get the 20" and switch to 275/60 all season tires., it will be the same as the 21".

If it's Launch Green or Compass Yellow launch edition, you'll have a unicorn. I'd scoop it up.
My thoughts exactly. A late build LE with the exclusive color (now only available in the shop) is a bit more unique. Plus, with the pre-March '22 pricing the LE's are too good of a deal to pass up. I picked one up from the shop a few weeks ago.
A warning though - check your VIN to make sure you don't end up with a 2022 model year LE truck.

I think all of those new LE in the shops are late builds.

One thing regarding the max pack is it's just a chemistry change as far as anyone can tell so far. So same approximate weight, new cells, same thermals and charging it seems. So you'd get about 50 or 60 miles of EPA range from full for $10k. On a road trip if you stay between roughly 10% and 80% that's only a 35 mile difference roughly.

Point being, it's not as enticing of an option as it used to be unless they have managed to hide something from people.

There is no difference between the LE and AE other than the badge on the dash. The LE has the option for the LG exterior color and there are a few wheel upgrades that are free (if configured with those wheels... otherwise you still pay to upgrade for other wheels.) So, in some configs an LE is cheaper than an AE). LE's do not seem to be "limited production"... seems they will keep producing them till they are out of the little dash badges. It does seem like a strange strategy, but that is how they are doing things.

My guide indicated that there is still a possibility of getting a 2022 from the shop, but who knows. If it does happen, you can always unmatch from the VIN.

Honestly, a 2022 model year may bring better features: Meridian, frunk 12V, center dash 12V, better horn, etc.
