I drove past there last week, nothing being built yet.Read somewhere that Lee Vining RAN is getting worked on. Will make the trip across the Tioga pass a piece of cake. Tesla is also planning a supercharger there.

Looks like we've got eyes on the hardware being there about 2 weeks ago. Promising!I drove past there last week, nothing being built yet.
Yeah.....there is "soon" and then there is "rivian soon". Rivian soon can be anywhere from 6 months to 5 years. The Buttonwillow one has been "coming soon" since July 2021. I am really looking forward to those getting up and running.RAN map on Rivian website now shows a "coming soon" in Firebaugh. From a dead zone on I-5, we are now looking at 3 stations in near future.
It's easy to look at these coming soon locations from a distance and wonder what the hell but there could and probably is a good reason it isn't ready yet. Permits take different amounts of time in different jurisdictions, different infrastructure upgrades may be required, etc, etcIts great that they are adding Firebaugh California to the mix with a RAN station, but to me that seems a little useless. You have Santa Nella about 35 miles north and buttonwillow that is about 110 miles. I would prefer that they get one up and running before they move (or post) on to another one. I have been checking every day or 2 for the status of the Buttonwillow one and it has been "coming soon" since the first of the year. I then read on the link that it has been at that state since July 2021.
Don't get me wrong, it will be nice when all of the RANs along the Interstate 5 corridor are up and running.
Yeah....I agree. Every county and district has different rules....I guess I am just being impatient. Until then, at least we have Mantecca to stop at on the way down to SoCal and we only have to stop 1 maybe 2 times. It will be nice when all three get up and running. It's easy to look at these coming soon locations from a distance and wonder what the hell but there could and probably is a good reason it isn't ready yet. And to be fair they do mention that the coming soon sites are subject to change.
I think they only put it as Coming Soon once they have finished the initial permit approvals. Then of course it can delayed by hardware availability, permit inspections and of course the dreaded PG&E delay (at least up north). That said, I think the pace overall is picking up. Rivian is probably getting better at managing all the various sources of delay. Or maybe that is just wishful thinking...Yeah....I agree. Cool - thanks for the intel. Hope a transformer materializes soon!Corte Madera update: Physically done, but now waiting for PG&E. So it could be a long wait.
Yeah - I have family in Presque Isle and can charge in Millinocket with our Model 3 - but getting there in a Rivian would not be possible without some Apollo 13 like hijinks we pulled trying to get there in the winter before that supercharger.there is not much level 3 charging available in Maine anyway, outside of Tesla. The state is helping out, but all of their dcfc stations top out at 50 kW.
Not using exact addresses, that's roughly 250 miles.Anyone attempt to make it from the RAN station in Charlotte, NC to the RAN station in Pooler, GA? I’ve got an R1S on the 20’s and wonder if I can make it.
So a full charge could make it, especially if you mixed in a little Conserve mode, yes?Not using exact addresses, that's roughly 250 miles.
Would take longer, but you could swing through Augusta and hit the RAN there if you were concerned about going "direct"
Most likely could make it. There is an EA station in Columbia and Walterboro - so you could potentially consider those as backup. So a full charge could make it, especially if you mixed in a little Conserve mode, yes?
