Hi All-

My 2022 R1T with 27k miles on it recently generated a very disturbing sequence of errors following a DCFC session. The errors cleared following a vehicle reset, but I am left feeling uneasy about possible recurrence. I’ve since driven another 200 miles without issue, but did schedule an SC appt. to have the technicians have a look.

I am curious if others have seen a single instance of a critical battery issue that clears and never remerges?

FWIW, I have never had the 12 batteries replaced, but I do keep an eye on the 12V bus voltage. It tends to sit at around 13, so I get the sense the DC/DC charging circuitry is working properly.

Additional info :
  1. the error occurred following a session at an EV Connect location in Soledad, CA that I have used a number of times previously without issue. The rate was throttled to about 100kW but I attributed that to the charge point operator electing to do so due to peak power pricing. EA across the parking lot was even further throttled across all 4 dispensers.
  2. Max cell temp was 42C following the session
  3. I am running the latest software

I had this issue pop up after a charging session today on a road trip in Madison, WI. I finished the charge, and as soon as I went to reverse the errors popped up. Called Rivian and the guy pretty much knew right away it was probably an error from finishing the charge that set off the warnings. We did a reset and it looks good to go.

Interesting. Sounds super similar.
I’m 5k miles later now and probably DCFC-ed 2 dozen times since. No recurrence.

I left the truck with service while I was on a trip and they assured me there was nothing wrong with the vehicle after thorough inspection.

Seems to be a transient issue with over voltage from the charger, according to their assessment of the logs.

The charge point operator indicated they didn’t see anything anomalous in the logs on their side.

Where did you charge, if you don’t mind sharing?

OP are you by chance on the latest update? You’re the 4th or 5th person I’ve heard of this week with this issue. I wonder if it’s a 23.42.x issue.

No this was two months ago.

I am still on .38 as of this writing and I was on the previous version when I initially posted.
