When I was on the fence about getting the 21's versus 20's, the selection of choices was the deciding factor.
This is the way.....

I shouldve been more considering when I didnt elect for one of the other wheel options. I was looking mainly at the range hit and since it's my wife's care, she didnt care for anything else. I also felt like I could buy a better aftermarket wheel than the options they had. Perhaps once these 21" tires wear out and if not more options exist by then, I will consider and aftermarket setup. Or bargain with someone with their take-offs.

I thought I did my homework when I went with the 21's (only considered range) and unfortunately I didn't realize that the 21's are custom to the R1T and therefore a lack of selection. Hopefully that will change when I need new tires next week as I'm approaching 6,000 miles

I've created a list of every compatible tire according to, and sold by, Discount Tire. Effectively, this eliminates anything with a load index of 113 or lower.

It's split into three sheets—one for each wheel diameter. There are some filter views (Data > Filter views) to filter by type, or you can create your own temporary filter view.

• Some tires have multiple variants (e.g. the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus comes in the OE 116H, but also comes in a 126S). Only one variant is shown.

I believe Nokian has a 21" tire option. I hope over the next year or two, manufacturers will have more 21" options than what is currently available.

Thanks Joshua, this is very helpful. My R1T rides on 21" all-season tires. Am looking for 20" wheels plus winter tires (we live in MA) and my longstanding supplier seems quote familiar with EVs and Rivian. However, am still struggling with the supposed "software adjustment" which only a Rivian service center can do when you change wheel size? That seems non-scaleable policy!

Another data field that would be good is tire weight. Some of the Plus 1 sizes for 22-inch fitment are true all terrains and Load Range E ... but weigh as much as 20 lbs more per corner! That’s a lot of inspiring mass to add. So even though they match the 20-inch tire’s 34-inch size, they’re heavier than 33-inch XL rated options (and way heavier than the efficiency-biased OE P Zeros).

Good idea to add the tire weight if available. Also I like the concept of “inspiring mass” but assume you typed “unsprung mass”. ?
