Someone has the money and freedom to play build in their custom shop, have at it.

This truck is just someone being creative in a one-off build simply because they can.

You guys taking this thing much too seriously. Have fun custom truck Florida Man!

Miami service center said the vehicle has been sold and the new owner has already scheduled service for suspension related issues. Go figure.

Two things I notice that they did not address. The air compressor door in the truck bed does not stay closed, like every other R1T, and they did not provide a convenient place to mount a front license plate. No way would I ever buy this unless they fix those problems.

If it were just an aesthetic difference you’d see less mocking. However, this change in form comes with a reduction in function as the various add-ons and changes will almost certainly reduce the range at highway speeds. I think most people would consider this an objective failure, regardless of whether they like subjectively like the exaggerated aggressive look or not.
But wouldn’t that apply to every lifted truck on the road? I don’t think anyone lifting their trucks are too worried about efficiency/range. This was probably the last thing on the designers minds.

My personal opinion is that thing looks ugly, but I’m sure some disagree.

I can't tell if you are messing with us or not.

They did manage to put some interesting steps on the thing, and I sort of like the roll bar look.

Sort of messing with the forum. I have yet to mount my front plates because I don't want to drill holes in the front plastic fairing and I have not seen a front mount that I liked. I put a Velcro tab on my compressor door but on occasion It will still pop open. In the pictures posted you can see the compressor door open and I think it would be even more difficult to mount a front plate on the nose of the Nirvana Rivian with all their additions to the shape of the truck. In reality I would never buy their version of the R1T but I like their creativity and design work. When I win the billion dollar lottery I will place my order along with my order for my new Gulfstream G-4 aircraft and few other toys I have in mind.

Right, but the difference between this and ICE pickup trucks is that a hit in efficiency has a much bigger impact on range (and refueling times) in an EV. I agree it was probably the last thing on the designer’s mind… and that’s a problem. As a show vehicle parked under lights and tooling around town this won’t have much of an effect. But if they sell one of these to a paying customer they should disclose the fact that EPA ratings no longer apply.

This makes me sad. How could they do that to such a beautiful truck? Also, the spacing on the letters of NIRVANA seems uneven, which is very upsetting.?
