Poll - What do you use to charge your Rivian?

Hello my dudes!

I was talking to another Rivian owner earlier today, and the conversation turned to charging. He sprung for the Rivian Wall Charger for $800, and I've been exclusively using the included Mobile Charger. It got me thinking (and product planning ? ) about what we all generally do.

• Are most of us using the freebie Mobile Charger?
• How often are folks springing for the Rivian branded Wall Charger?
• Is there a large group of us using third party chargers? (and if so, which ones?)
• How many of us juice up using DCFC?
• Who are the lucky ones that are able to charge predominately at work?
  (I was able to do this with my Model S for nearly a year. It was awesome!)

And yes, I know they are technically called an EVSE, but if Tom Moloughney is calling them chargers at this point, so am I.

Fine print: Will degrade battery and void all warranties on your Rivian. Is charging from 0-135 KW in less than 150 nanoseconds worth it?

I run a Tesla J1772 wall charger to match wife’s Tesla NACS wall charger for MY. Each on 60amp dedicated circuits. 24 ft long charging cable is a nice feature.

We have two gen 3 Tesla wall connectors. They are each installed on their own 60 amp circuit but share a total of 60 amp total power between them. One charger can put out 48 amps but if they are both connected and chsrging they will put out 30 amps each. We have 200 amp service so we can't pull the full 96 amps out of our panel.

I installed a ChargePoint Flex outside and used to use that, but started parking inside my garage and ran another 240 receptacle inside and use the mobile charger mostly.

Running a 50amp juice box. Works great for the R1S and I4M50. Long cable fine software.

The 60% increase in price of the Rivian wall charger is ridiculous. Luckily I got mine for $500 a bit over a year ago.

I also do charging at work as we have several 6.6kW chargers.

We’ve planned to go solar at home, so environmentally I’ll be charging more at home and skipping the work charger in the future.

Wish Rivian would fix their bug where their wall charger won’t hit the set charge limit. Mine hasn’t hit the charge limit for 2+ months now.

Right now, brutally charging lvl 1 with the stock mobile charger. In 2 months when we move into our new home, 60amp direct connected Charge Point charger from Xcel Energy.

Open EVSE kit. It is Open Source firmware, integrates With Home Assistant, Node Red, supports MQTT, can be set up to do solar divert, etc. Extensive online support information. If you are into Home Automation, this is the ticket. May not be the best for someone who is looking for simple, plug and play and forget it.

Be sure to do your research if you haven't already. If you plan to offset your power enough to gain all your charging needs from solar, you will need a pretty significant system unless you only drive a handful of miles a day.

Been using a Grizzl-e w/ 15-40 plug 50 amp breaker for almost 2 years. It works great and I went this route since it lives outside.
