This is true of some Elon boys on the internet. However the Model 3 owner and Model S owners were very excited to see the Rivian in my experience. I suspect most hate Elon now.

It's less of a rivalry and more of a loud minority of Tesla Fanboys/Elon Apologists that are out of control. If you spend any time on Reddit - they come out in droves to attack people posting about legitimate issues or complaints with their Tesla.

I can't stand it. The Tesla Forums/Reddit seems to be filled with them.

As a Rivian owner I'd say I come across Tesla owners way less than other EV owners. So I don't really have any idea how they feel. I imagine that the Supercharger network played a huge role in their decision so regardless of how good something else was they didn't really feel like they had the option.

The happiest EV people seems to be EV6 owners (or some variant of it).

They do express enthusiasm for the Rivian, but you can totally tell they're coming from a perspective of being really happy with their vehicle.

The majority of Tesla folks are mostly normal, just like the majority of Rivian folks. I don't think "completely normal" is even a category anymore

Second this. Model S and R1S. Both are great. Model S (2023) is a road trip monster and a fantastic cruiser. R1S is a full-on zombie apocalypse do-anything vehicle.

Similarly, we have a MS, R1S and Chevy Bolt (kids car); our neighbors have MY and R1S. All three cars are really good for their intended purpose and in different ways.

I can believe that. That's why this place is the closest I get to social media. I left all of those sites years ago and my sanity has thanked me for it ever since. I try to put more of that energy into things that actually matter like my family and community.
