A/C Controls Via Steering Wheel?

Can the a/c fan speed and temperature be changed from the steering wheel controls? Its very distracting and dangerous to reach over and adjust on the center screen while driving.

Me and Alexa are not on speaking terms. Either Rivian needs to do something or I need to give her a spanking.
I too have a hard time operating the functions of the Rivian more than any vehicle I have owned in 50 years. Advancement hurts.

Hi Arnie did you setup Alexa to respond to your voice? Also, did you setup Alexa to your Amazon Alexa account? If not, then that could be the reason for the trouble.

You don't need to link it to your account. I turned on Alexa with the wake word turned off and it works fine when holding down the button on the center (left side) of the wheel. I usually don't remember to use the assistant, but that's a separate problem. It would be more useful if it could do more stuff...like enable/disable lane keep assist when going into the canyons.

makes sense...it wouldn't need to access your personal info to change the temps I guess. I like the command to "take me home" which of course requires the app connection and it needs to know where your home is. Its an excellent feature of Rivian vehicles...one which I hope will continue to improve and add additional capability as time goes on.

So can you use Alexa in the Rivian without having an Alexa home system? I'm reluctant to do that because of privacy issues, plus Amazon already "owns" enough of me...

Unnecessary. Climate controls at low left corner of center display is within easy reach. And if Alexa is enabled it can be controlled, hands and eyes free, by voice.
