The update still hasn’t been pushed to me. Are there any tricks to get it sooner?
It doesn't appear until it's fully downloaded. Drive somewhere with really good reception and hope it was just taking a long time because of that?

Shouldn't it be quick connected to your home wifi?

I made sure it’s connected to home wifi but silence.

By the way, this waiting got me thinking that Rivian ‘could’ introduce the “Priority Downloading” as part of the Rivian membership benefit in the future ..

(I’m not saying that’s what I want ..)

* I would like to see a separate tire pressure warning limit for off-road mode. Of course, I often air down my tires which gets the TPMS system all unhappy so I ignore it. But then if one of the tires really does have a problem it may be missed (I can speak from experience here :-(
Always have the widget on the driver display, as soon as I air down I always turn that screen on to see the individual tire pressures, not like efficiency or nav are that important off road. It's not fool proof though because you have to be driving fast enough for the TPMS to register.

Found an option to automatically use the bed cam when shifting to reverse with the tailgate down. That's a nice touch. The regular camera is entirely useless with the tailgate down anyway.
Still waiting to get the update… but for me this is great news! I have bikes in the back pretty regularly and the view of the ground from the normal camera with the tailgate down is not helpful (sarcasm). Love all the other things I’m reading about with this update, but this one moves to the top of the list for my adventures! ?

No, it is released in batches and could be anywhere from a few hours to 1 week+ after the initial release date, that it is pushed to your vehicle . Unfortunately we just have to be patient.

My home WiFi is barely reachable from my driveway. My update in my R1T did come last night but it was at least an hour after others were able to already install it.

I've found that the updates rarely care if you're on WiFi or just cellular. When the update is pushed to your vehicle, it downloads it by any means possible.

Hey All!

Super excited for this one. Rivian gave me a sneak peek at the newest software update (OTA 2023.38.0) and the linked vid is the result. I wanted to do a general overview of what was in it. Hoping to get some towing tests on later.

The gist of it is that it's an excellent update (I can't confirm or deny the existence of Halloween mode). It's focused mainly on the drive modes. Well, it's almost entirely about the drive modes (only minor changes outside of that). The new drive modes are split into two groups: On-road and Off-road with the various modes in logical places. Towing is no longer a mode in itself, it's a tab for all modes (except Rally and Drift modes). I also learned that drive some drive modes don't exist in the dual-motor variants of the Rivians.

I do have a couple of things I would like to see in the next software updates (see end of vid) but mostly this is a good addition. Lots of new data surfaced to the driver including pitch, roll, temperatures, and access to the over-the-bed cam (HALELUJIAH!).

Anyway, check it out and please leave comments on the vid!

Hope this is helpful to you all.

I recently drove a Tesla and found the camera view of traffic when signaling to change lanes an additional safety factor that I would like to see as an upgrade.

I've seen that a couple times in the past, but on all occasions the error was... erroneous. The update went off without a hitch despite the app message.
That happened to me for this update

Same. I had to start it from the center screen. App was a no go. Maybe just had trouble waking up.
