Have you tried doing a hard reset?
Yes, it didn’t work. Before I saw this thread I thought it was a bug because the screen will display the swipe message some of the time (it disappears if you try swiping or wait like 15 seconds).

So even if they intentionally didn’t include the feature there is still likely a bug because it should not say swipe for gauges at all.

How is this news? I hear all the time on here about "I don't need that extra HP of the quad why would I spend the money". THIS sort of shit is why. Rivian is smart for making the premium features to go with the premium truck and the base model features in the base model trucks. Every other manufacturer does the same thing. You won't be getting massage seats in an XLT Ford you need to buy the platinum trim.

I'm glad Rivian is doing this because the people who spend the money, remember it's 30K more for the quad over the plain dual, should get more features.

My Dad always told that was still a lie.
And to the person who said, "you get what you pay for". You're right. You get 2 more motors and a bunch more drive modes. AS ADVERTISED.
This is horseshit. But I'm holding out hope for a bug. Doesn't really make sense.
Rivian never promised the dual motor owners would get all the same features of the quad. They never promised the dual owners a gauge interface either. The fact of the matters is that it is rivian's choice how they want to differentiate their products and it's your choice which one to buy. None of these features were promised to anyone, so rivian can allocate them however they'd like.

The user says that the far right icon isn’t “sport” but all-terrain mode. So I guess the judgement is still out.
I think they are confused on what they purchased. They certainly have a fourth icon..

While in spirit I agree, in this specific case, it looks like a bug. There is one owner with standard dm reporting seeing the gauges

People seemed happy with their purchases a few days ago. Now they are angry/miserable/ripped off because some people got a software update and they didn't.

It’s also possible that he ordered the standard DM and they fucked up his configuration and unlocked performance or some other configuration issue.

No question, that could be the source of their confusion, or simply just picked one from the shop thinking they picked a different one they looked at.

It certainly seems like they have the performance version though.

Your screen shots make that pretty hard to dispute.

Isn’t that 4th icon for “soft sand” mode, which I thought was only available for quad motor cars…

(Sports mode is a flag icon)

Seems like this is a bug more than anything at this point.

I do not see tow mode in either screenshot, that is the 4th and 5th mode? I also do not see where it says not performance, just says Dual Motor AWD which is how the Rivian stories reference both. I could be way off base, just calling what I am seeing.

Dual-Motor AWD vehicles come with four drive modes:
  • All-Purpose
  • Snow
  • Tow
  • All-Terrain
Performance Dual-Motor AWD vehicles come with five drive modes:
  • All-Purpose
  • Snow
  • Tow
  • All-Terrain
  • Sport
