Any why doesn't the Compass on the display look like a compass? or the Rivian symbol that is supposed to be a play on a compass? The boring "N" inside a dull square is so lame. The compass should POP in my opinion.

Agreed.
Personally, I would like to see the compass (choice of analog or digital) along with clock (same choices there) and odometer In the drivers display. No biggie, but I would use them.

As @Tim-in-CA said, I would assume GPS. Why add the expense and inaccuracy of a magnetic device when the data is already aquired by GPS? My 2010 Avalanche has a magnetic compass, with a calibration procedure in the manual. I have not seen any compass calibration procedure in the Rivian manual....

Yea, I recall one of my vehicles requiring driving in circles to cAli rate the compass
