Agreed.Any why doesn't the Compass on the display look like a compass? or the Rivian symbol that is supposed to be a play on a compass? The boring "N" inside a dull square is so lame. The compass should POP in my opinion.
As @Tim-in-CA said, I would assume GPS. Why add the expense and inaccuracy of a magnetic device when the data is already aquired by GPS? My 2010 Avalanche has a magnetic compass, with a calibration procedure in the manual. I have not seen any compass calibration procedure in the Rivian manual....No specific reason right now. Just kinda curious. Magnetic I guess?
