To be clear he made the statement “It’s about what I thought…” that is meant to express an opinion but it wasnt’ exactly clear to me what opinion he was trying to express. So no I don’t think it was just an observation/statement.
My thought was TSLA would charge more for non-Tesla’s but still less than EA. I am not sure how the rates will compare across the other 49 states or the 1800+ supercharger stations.
My intention was to share my observation of 1 supercharger

Is EA going to go the way of the DODO and not care or maintain their stations? Or will they still be under government mandate?
Walmart/murphy will buy it for $1bn after VW/diesel gate spends $2bn to build out the chargers.

I will give Tesla credit, I honestly expected them to be charging >0.50/kWh everywhere but with their dynamic pricing they seem cheaper at some of their magic dock locations. A check this morning shows 0.28/kWh for the station in OR for non-members but they are also charging between 0.47-0.54/kWh at locations in CA, UT, CO

EA supposedly is going to dynamic pricing but so far I haven’t seen much of that but I also wouldn’t call 0.48 (0.36)/kWh pricing to be high either.

Yes..12.99 to save .10. just saw that in the TSLA app. 120kwh to breakeven. It could be worth it depending on your supercharger usage.
I ran that math prior to my loop to test out the magicdock as well $21 for 50kw - but was worth it as a personal validation of the functionality.

It's been noted that their in app pricing is not reflective of real world.

EA or Tesla?
Sorry, Tesla. EA did say you can't trust their pricing in app a while back, but it's actually been pretty good about being correct as far as I've seen (which isn't much :) )

If this article still holds true, Tesla is ahead of most on cost of construction. Every time I go to EA or EVgo I think about how much wasted space and money they use. I guess there is no way to go CCStoChademo.

Ok thanks for sharing. I’ll admit that is confusing, don’t you have to initiate a charge from the app? If so then how can the price listed be inaccurate
