Nice trip! ~$21 for the entire trip, minus ferry, is awesome. That would have cost $120 in gas in my Rover. Did you need to use the Tesla charger or can you limp into the RAN charger and still make it home?

Would have been cutting it close to not charge in Forks. The trip was to test out the magicdock, to understand its simplicity - so that’s really why I went out to Forks. The RAN charger was just to try it on the tailing end of the loop.

Yeah $21 in LVL 3 charges and a few bucks at home charging on my LVL 2 - $10.40 in home charges before/after drive.

Hey Neighbour,

Thanks for sharing. Olympic looks gorgeous right now. I did the similar loop on my Tesla Model Y, but without RAN obviously. I stayed overnight in the hotel next to the Supercharger - so while you have breakfast, your battery is charged to 100%.

Olympic Peninsula loop is definitely doable in EV these days.

My wife and I love the OP. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe we’ll do that trip soon. Our S should arrive in a week or two.
Hopefully a good charging option will come to Port Angeles soon. Often we explore the north end only.

Must have just missed you. Drove from Seattle to Aberdeen then on to Olympic National Forest for 2 nights. Drove home today. Hit the RAN on way out and way back. Super pretty scenery.

If you're willing to hit up a restaurant or brewery, PA has a 50kW in the parking garage downtown. I suggest this over Wally World.

I had no idea the Forks supercharger is open for non-Teslas - I just checked the Tesla app and it shows up! The only one in the region ?

I defy anyone to point out another place in the US that has more rough scenic beauty than the OP.

As a side note. Did you know that you can preform a "burial at sea" from a Washington State ferry?

Neither did I until I was on the ferry from downtown to Bainbridge a few months back and the captain came on the intercom to announce they'd be stopping the ferry briefly half way across for just such an event.
