I agree with OP that it doesn't fit the design standards they've established (and specifically, proudly advertised as their standard).

It boils down to it being a bit too obnoxious, and not disableable without disabling the full feature suite. That's it! I don't mind it in broad daylight in a store parking lot, but when I'm leaving in the early morning I can hear it through the walls of my house, which means my neighbors can too.

So many jerks in here, lol.

I would argue you are the jerk for complaining about something like this which you can switch off. Please leave.

You're not entitled for giving an opinion. You're entitled by complaining about the free mode someone spent time making for you to enjoy. Are you the type of person who is given a gift and spends the entire evening pissing and moaning because it wasn't what you wanted?

I taught my son that being whiny and ungrateful is a bad look when he was 5 years old. Seriously, Rivian doesn't owe you Halloween mode and the mode this year was worth every dollar you paid for it. Next time you get a gift you don't like just smile, say thank you and quietly don't use it like every other adult.

Doing anything besides that is immature and best and entitled at worst.

And I do (switch it off), at least when I know the next time I will be using my Rivian is going to be before my neighbors are awake.

I'm not saying I don't like it (in fact, I said I use it). I'm just saying it's obnoxious, and mildly inconvenienced about the all-or-nothing toggle, while confused about the drastic change from the design ethos they advertised with pride.

You ARE throwing a tantrum. You are whining about something EXTRA and FREE. It was a GIFT. Look up the term graciousness. You and everyone else who's complaining about something 100% free and extra need a little bit of manners. Saying something like I did in the one thread about "I really enjoy that Rivian takes their time out to make these special modes. I prefer the owl from last year but the organ was still fun and appreciated that Rivian is willing to dedicate the time and resources to a little fun thing like their Halloween mode".

Can you see the difference between that and whining about not being able to turn off one specific part of a special mode and instead having to turn off the whole thing? I doubt you can, but there is a pretty big gulf between those two things. I'll make it really simple for you, if you enjoy the other features enough to override the dislike of the organ keep Halloween mode on. If you dislike the organ enough that it ruins the other features for you, turn it off. Either way, going on and on about it isn't necessary.

Seriously, complaints like yours are going to lead to Rivian not dedicating resources towards these fun and EXTRA things then all of us will suffer because you guys don't know how to act appreciative for something Rivian didn't need to do. Also I was serious about asking if you were the sort of person who gets a gift you don't like and then proceeds to tell the giver about it all evening. You're probably just giving "feedback" then too. Invest some time in gaining some emotional intelligence, the people in your life will appreciate it.

I said i like their festive themes and hope they do more of them. I just hope they’re more like last year.

Had your OP have said this you would have gotten little to no push back. You went beyond dislike of the theme you outright claim the current holiday mode is damaging to the Rivian brand. That's why people are pushing back on you. You took something really minor and claimed that the organ sound is actually counter to the Rivian design plan.

That's a pretty serious allegation for something so trivial and it's why many of us are giving you a hard time. Titling the thread "Halloween sounds are off brand" is unnecessarily melodramatic.

You are treating Rivian like a god, and act like if we don't shower them in praises then they'll spite us by cursing us with a 7 year drought... Well, I hope your god is receptive to criticism from people other than the most devout, and apologists.

To directly answer your question, no, I'm thankful to all of my gift givers. To call Halloween Mode a "gift" is hilariously idolizing . It's a gimmick. With dissonant design.

Pointing out the dissonance and asking for avoidance or change in the future is not only reasonable, but hopefully preferred by Rivian. If it causes them to divert resources to other features, that's something I'd actually welcome.
