Halloween Sounds are Off-Brand

I love that Rivian does a Halloween theme, and even wish they would do more special events.

While I love the zombies, pumpkins, and witches… they did so much better with last year’s sounds. The owl and the wolf were both on brand and matches the Sounds of Rivian design practice.

I hope they do more special events, and I hope they better follow their design philosophy with future ones—like they did last year.

I think its hilarious people are criticizing Rivians "Design Philosophy", a brand thats been delivering vehicles for just over one year. They want actual nature sounds, but are ok with zombie/witch graphics. They want nature sounds, but comic graphics of fictional things.

This is the most useless complaint around TBH. I think it's fun and on brand isn't really a valid worry IMO. As long as Rivian doesn't sell a "club a baby seal and burn down a forest" kit I think they aren't standing opposed to their nature ethos.

@prestapost forget these fools, I agree! When you work so hard to take a stance on something and then flush it down the drain for an event, it’s not well thought out.

Yeah, it’s obvious it can be turned off, but thanks anyway is to all the geniuses that reminded us.

However it’s not about that…when you make a stand and push an ethos, you sure as hell better stick to it. This Halloween update is off brand.

I obviously did turn mine off. I’m not disappointed they did a Halloween theme, I’m disappointed that they did it so off brand… especially when they nailed it last year.

Say what you want about whether they have an identity, but they sure put a lot of effort into the Sounds of Rivian page and videos (not to mention the actual sounds).

More proof of first world problems? BTW i like the owl and the wolf too but my main complaint with Rivian right now is the service wait times.
