Gravity looks like it'll be a great car. But we're given the specs for the top-end model along with the price for the base model which is misleading for a large swath of the population. Lucids only start becoming appealing once you bump up a few trim levels which jacks up the price considerably (just look at the Air).

I'm keeping my R1S but I might get a Gravity, too. My biggest concerns with Lucid are service and viability of the company (two things that also worry me with Rivian but to a much lesser degree).

Here's the deal. If it can charge at 350 kW on the Gen 4 Supercharger, then 320 miles of range is not bad.
If you can find a 1000V charger, if it isn't broken, if there isn't a line of Volts in front of you waiting to charge, if the car connects properly on the first try, if public charging didn't suck.

Lucid Gravity will be released with the NACS connector, so it will be able to charge at the Tesla Supercjarhers. Finding a DC charging location shouldn’t be a big problem. Tesla’s Gen 4 supercharger should be able to supply 900V.

I think there might be two Gen 4 SCs in the US.

I agree being able to use the SC network is huge for all of us. Except the Lucid will have to convert the lower voltage of the non Gen 4 chargers, resulting in very, very slow charge speeds.

Lucid Gravity is coming out in a year. By then, there will be Gen 4 superchargers.

By the the time the $80K version arrives you'll be considering a solid state version from Lexus....Lucid wii go private before any Gravity is delivered to any real customers. They are not going away until Saudi Sovereign Wealth goes away...I like the look. I'm in the club desiring a 300+ range at 80mph on the highway, but at $120K from Lucid?

Looks like an electric Infiniti QX60 with minivan design cues.

Super boring and basic. Glad I got the R1S

I am less optimistic regarding SS batteries, but I agree Lucid will survive as long as the Saudis are supporting them.

I am not paying $120k for the longest range Gravity, or any other vehicle for that matter. If they can do it for $100k, it is on the list.

The R1S Max is available now. And it can do 300+ miles at 80 mph. Today. And it is a great truck.

Lucid has the best BEV powertrain on the market, but the Gravity isn't on the market yet. I really hope they make it. The competition isn't sitting still.

Dang, that's a good looking crossover. Lucid seriously screwed up by not offering this first.
Except for off road ability, this will be a serious competitor to the R1S. Based on what I'm seeing here, I'd buy the Lucid over the R1S. The biggest challenge to me buying one is whether or not I think Lucid can survive.
As Butt-head would say... "Beavis, snap out of it!!!"

Yeah, but you also have the types (like my wife) who full-stop refuse to drive a minivan & prefer more "rugged" looking body-on-frame vehicles (e.g., Lexus GX, 4Runner, Armada, etc.).

My wife would never drive the Lucid Gravity but takes every opportunity she gets to drive my R1S.
Yeah, but only to drop off kids at âš˝ practice.... ?

I am cross shopping them. My primary goal is long highway (80 mph) range. I love the off road capability provided by the R1S, but I almost never have a reason to go on anything worse than gravel.

I am not a big fan of the glass roof. In fact, I will cover it with vinyl if I get the Gravity or the R1S. If the Gravity can provide significantly more highway range for a similar price as the R1S, that is the way I will go. But right now, it appears that is not the case, especially if the R1S has efficient wheels. That aspect of the Gravity reveal is very disappointing.
Well, the S is available "now" while the Gravity is still a figment of the future imagination.
