My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
… it’ll be a lot easier to wrap, because the panels are all flat. TAKE THAT, RIVIAN STANS.

the truck edges will self cut the wrap too for additional time savings :)

Sub-micron tolerances and flat panels will allow any novice wrap person (like me) to handle this. TWRAPS could sell a kit!

I'd say the biggest benefit of a cybertruck is you don't really have to worry about the body.

You can likely dent a Rivian using a single finger due to how thin the body panels are.

It's true, I'm quite afraid of someone deciding to throw a wiffleball at my windows and accidentally hitting a body panel.

I will add that the door skins do not tolerate even the slightest tapping of the protective bollards by charging stations.

I accidently hit the bollard at the Ellensburg EA pretty hard and was shocked no damage nor mark

I tapped one in Rockford and had to go to PDR to fix. Probably depends where it hits.

it also beats on ride height and adjustablility and a few other key areas but the max height will really only matter to a small fraction of owners.

i am amazed the R1T drag coefficient is better than the CT. kudos to Rivian designers and engineers for that even though it has that flat, bulky front.

Yup, I will do that once we get our CT although I am quite skeptical many people would opt in to install so many (and big) pieces on their own.

You don't have to worry about dents as much. But you will have much much more maintenance to do

Rivian could give us at least another inch, but it would massively take away from the amount of articulation the truck can do. I am guessing Tesla's maximum ground clearance setting will have that problem.

The Hummer's "Extract Mode" isn't meant for driving around in like Rivian's Highest is, has a 12 mph limit instead of 20 like Rivian. Again, the articulation seems to suffer.

I didn't happen to watch any reviews that actually bothered to demonstrate the Cybertruck's off road capabilities at all but I didn't watch many of them either.

17” clearance in extract mode… so jury is still out on that one until someone measures the clearance in the actual driving mode.
